Past 6 months I have enet through a divorce and though it was just finalized there is a child involved so my stress continues on. Wasn't the best of divorces with some dramatic crap and lots of worrying about my child's future and well being that still continues to this day. One of my two outlets have been coming here to read news and updates and just talk with you all. My other outlet has been the gym. This particular outlet I have done so from my phone and my couch in front of the tv at night etc. Sometimes in between visits with clients with my work etc. The point is you guys have been there and I really appreciate it. Everyone of you, even the smart asses I appreciate just having seen your conversations, your team updates, your news your bitching, your friendly banter and everything else. Thank you for providing me an outlet in the hardest time I have ever had in my life. I haven't been a very religious person all my life so this will sound hypocritical but God bless each of you even the ones I think are kind of assholes at times as some of you may have thought I was in the past. I will always be thankful you all helped me through something so damn hard in my life and you didn't even know it. Just had to at least say that. Carry on with the banter and debates and arguments and insults and friendly remarks as well. It is all what makes you all my outlet to deal with stress. Much love, gratitude and respect.

Brother I can tell you some divorce stories that will make your hair stand up. 

But seriously, I have walked in your shoes about 14 years ago. I had 2 kids and even though I went through hell it was even harder for them. But with 2 years of therapy for all of us and a great layer we prevailed. 

This place was my sanctuary back then. Those that once roamed the pages on this board kept me going. A few still haunt the place, much like myself.  And to all of you who were there,  I thank you.

Even though you didn't know it at the time you kept me sane and fighting.  Ss for the rest of the assholes on here I say...

My best to you. 

I've gone through one divorce with no children involved and even that was tough.  It does run one through the gamut of emotions. My outlet was my coworkers.  I was an air traffic controller at the time and we had about a 175% divorce rate, some of them very messy.  Looking back at it, murder might have been an easier option!

My other outlet was music.  I spent a lot of hours under a set of headphones.

I'm glad this forum was a good release for you.  Reading somebody say incredibly stupid stuff (any of my posts, really) can be therapeutic.

If reading my rants about the Panthers brings you comfort god bless you and I will ramp up the vitriol in your honor!!!

But in all seriousness, I don't know you but I am certain a brighter tomorrow is right around the corner. Keep doing positive things for you and your child's life and the rewards will come. Replace the bad memories with good ones. It's funny how much of your life you forget as you get older. This will pass too.

      if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying

      So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
