Joe Brady to the Saints? Speculation about OC

Found the comment about Rhule interesting:

Quote

Let’s start with an obvious choice. Brady’s history with the Saints is well-known; initially hired to Sean Payton’s coaching staff as an offensive assistant, he made the move to LSU (against Payton’s recommendation) and ended up steering the Tigers to a national title, which got him a big NFL opportunity with the Carolina Panthers. But he was shackled to Matt Rhule’s amateurish operation and got scapegoated late in the 2021 season. Though he’s recently been named quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills, the Saints could offer him a promotion to get him back in New Orleans. He fits the profile as someone familiar with the system and team culture.

Ouch!

yeah lets use "saints wire" as an information source.  how shocking they would say that

Just info on what others are saying.

Brady is not and was not ready to be an NFL OC.  Doubt the Saints are dumb enough to go in that direction...but if they are....fine. (Sorry that the Panthers were)

while rhule sucks, so does brady

dude rode the coat tails of Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson.

ANYONE could have looked good with those three IN COLLEGE

using this as a source is like quoting a huddler or using wikipedia to write a paper. pretty dumb imo

Maybe you are right. I mean look how good they are in the nfl right now, But what if Joe Brady is the reason why they are so good? I mean his coaching had to help. Maybe they wouldn’t have been nearly as good if Brady didn’t teach them and find the right plays for them to be successful at.  You can be the best coach in the world but if you have a crappy offensive line and a young qb who isn’t that good then your offense is going to still suck. Coaching can only get you so far.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
