Like I said just above. His stats are better than Staffords and everybody would have killed to have Stafford here, even though he never won anything until this year.

Yeah, funny how personal feelings trumps statistics.  Stafford, hell yeah!!!!!!!  Cousins, isn't he worse than Danrold????

I've generally put Stafford and Cousins in the same tier of QB.

Stafford has elevated himself. Don't know if Cousins will but if we get him, I hope so.

Maybe, maybe not. But it's fair to say, based on the product on the field that they (Rhule and Tepper, jury still out on Fitt because Rhule runs the clown car) know far less than most other owners and HCs in the NFL, and that's who they're up against. That's who's trying to fleece them in trades like the fuging Jets did.

Appeal to Authority doesn't work when the """""authority"""" has proven they can't walk the walk. Hell they can't even crawl the crawl.

Yes compared against their peers in the NFL, the jury is absolutely still out. Compared against random jabronis on the huddle, it’s no contest.

I just don’t know how they would go about fixing the OL if they took on Cousins contract.

That’s why I say a swap of 1st round picks would be crucial. We wouldn’t have much left in FA. Although if you trade for Cousins you’d most likely be extending him. I’m sure they’d backload the contract.

Staffords teammates dont despise him

Lol, yeah totally. All of Cousins teammates everywhere he’s ever been hate his guts. Where are you even getting this from? Bullshit put out by Minnesota so they don’t have to give him a big money extension?

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
