Cobb is a former NFL LB and a current analyst for a fox station. I dont see any reason he should jeopardize his credibility. 

The guy is 64, I think whoever told him this he really trusts, whether it is true or not.

and the media takes notice---our news is fully aware that people will believe what they want to hear and attack opposing viewpoints.  They can spin almost anything.
