Deshaun Watson is also meeting with the #Niners, per league source.  I’m told the #Saints remain the front runners, based on trade assets and their desire to acquire the 26-year-old superstar QB. Decision likely by tomorrow.

49ers meeting has already been debunked which makes the rest of his post meaningless

Everyone thinks that Watson holds all the power here, he don't.  The radio guy down in Houston just said that Nick Caserio would absolutely sit Watson again, he isn't going to take 50 cent on the dollar.  Watson just might want to go to ATL, doesn't matter, Houston wants either picks or young defensive players, young  defensive players on rookie contracts to be exact. ATL can't offer them that so Watson can "want" to go there all he wants to but Houston still has to accept the deal.  Same thing with NO but not as bad as ATL.  Cleveland has talent but can they put a package together Houston will accept?  Deshawn does have final say when it comes to where he plays, unless he just isn't playing at all.  Texans have the ultimate final say in this and listening to what I just heard, it doesn't sound like the aren't afraid to pay a man 35 million to sit on the bench, they just did it.

9ers reporter said that was BS. They don't have a first round pick until 2024.

To those melting down after every twitter post:

1. Nobody with any actual insight has said anything.

2. it’s the off-season where everyone lies.

3. Nothing has happened till it happens. We are in the Watson race until he is traded.

4. Houston has a say in where he gets traded too.

5. even if we don’t get him it’s not the end of the world. Just means our draft pick which would be a QB is that much more important now.

Him going to a divisional rival is a big deal. Brady, while coming back, is bound to retire for good very soon. The division moving forward as it stands is void of any franchise QBs with longevity. Watsons secures a unique opportunity and advantage over our divisional peers. It’s that important.

On Kyle Bailey right now they're talking about Atlanta's chances and they're pretty much in agreement with what we are saying here.  1. It would look REAAAAALLLY bad for Atlanta to restructure the best QB they've ever had and then a week later send him to Houston.  2. They have an atrocious defense with no people to trade to Houston.  3.  They have hardly any cap space.  55 million dollar dead cap hit.  55 million dollars.  The consensus seems to be that its a huge bluff, and Atlanta has a gigantic uphill battle on multiple fronts if they truly want Watson.  Seem to think that this is a bluff to drive up the price for us and the Saints.

They also just said to keep an eye on Terron Armstead coming to Carolina if we do land Watson.  We could have a great o line all of a sudden.  If there is a God out there PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!

Don't come in here with logic. People are trying to leap from ledges.

Even if he settles for Carolina, how long until he forces his way out like he did in Houston? A track record of not honoring contracts and tepper wants to give this kid the keys to the franchise

Unless Tepper goes back on his word and freezes him out, like Cal McNair did, then I dont think it’ll be an issue.

We need to get out of this, if HE is calling other teams, you don't give 2 of your young core players and 3 1sts for someone calling teams himself

This is Houston pumping fakenews to reporters in an attempt to drive up the price.  Dont believe the hype.

    • The ONLY thing Chark was better at during his peak than T-Mac is right now, is that he was an actual burner. T-Mac has better hands, more fluid and agile, better catch radius, better route runner. It's not about stats but short of literally having the video at my disposal (and know how) to cut clips together to compare them, it's just the quickest/easiest way to do it because they's so absurdly polar opposites in output. And again, this has absolutely nothing to do with T-Mac, it's 100% about just being realistic with who Chark was as a player.  I genuinely don't understand why people seem to think Chark was some all world player at any point in his career, he was never anything more than a league average player who had one decent statistical season as the only decent WR option on the team that year. I'd have said the exact same thing last year about MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, and BTJ vs Chark too.
    • Just stop, man. All the college stats don't matter. Plenty of guys who put up big numbers in college flop in the NFL and you and I both know that there are 1st round and top 10 busts every year. While we definitely hope T-Mac isn't one and we hope he proves to be a great NFL WR, you can't assume poo about a rookie who hasn't played a down of NFL football yet.
    • therein lies the problem.  Carry on
