Both Icky and Neal will not be gone if some takes a qb in the top 4, I would almost bet on it.

And if they are, then we would have the opportunity to get Hutchinson or Thibedeaux. I know I butchered his name, but whatever.  We are going to be in the position to draft a real game changer at a position of need regardless of where it is.  Thats the beauty of having a shitty roster!  Holes to be filled everywhere!

Maybe.  Fields fell to 11, Jones to 15, Herbert to 6, Hurts to 53, Josh Allen to 7, Lamar Jackson to 32, Mahomes to 10, Watson to 12, Prescott 135.

Tough to predict.  We need the picks, and I'd put them all on the  shelf together.

You listed 9 QB's in your post. Only three of them were picked after pick #12: Jackson, Hurts, and Prescott. Jackson fell a little further than expected but still went in round one.. I don't think anyone thought Jalen Hurts was a 1st round talent. I'll be honest, I never even heard of Dak Prescott until the Cowboys drafted him.

I'm not saying we should take a QB. But, if we do we need to make sure we get the guy we want. Don't leave anything to chance. Other teams try to manipulate the draft board as well. It only takes one GM to mess up our entire draft strategy. Somebody else may want the guy we want.

True Story: the Cowboys needed a WR to replace Drew Pearson after his near fatal car accident prior to the 1984 season. Jerry Rice was the guy they were targeting. Bill Walsh had 3 receivers we wanted prior to the 1985 draft (Al Toon, Eddie Brown, and Jerry Rice). The Jets took Toon first. The Bengal wanted Eddie Brown, but Sam Wyche was willing to trade down with SF for a 1 and a 3. Walsh was willing to part with a 1 and a 4. Sam took Eddie Brown. Walsh knew Dallas wanted Rice so they traded up 1 spot ahead of Dallas and took Rice. Imagine how much different history would have been SF hadn't made that trade.

I agree.  My point was those QB's are considered better than this current crop and they fell out of the top 5.

I'm guessing at least one of this crop will be available bottom of the first, top of the second.  That said, I agree with you, if you know there is THE guy, you do what you have to, to get him.

If he goes to the right team in 2 years we’ll be saying that Corral’s comp is Patrick Mahomes. There is a reason Willis has a giant arm. He’s been in the weight room. He’s jacked through the shoulders and in his butt/quads. Corral for whatever reason hasn’t done that but he will in the league. He’s going to put on 15lbs and be the best of the bunch. I bet we stay put and go with Pickett bc he’s more “pro ready.” But if there’s a chance we can trade down and get corral we should. If Willis is going too 5 let someone else have him. No way In hell I’m giving up capital to go get a project. Recoup capital and trade down for a project? Sure. Trade up? Nope.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
