This. Guy intentionally came across as a very visible, present, and available owner... one of the guys who you'd see popping up everywhere fans were and interacting with them. He was always available to and speaking with the media, trying to engage the fans.

Since last year he's done none of that. Why? Got to assume he's either embarrassed about the product he's putting out there or he just doesn't care about the fans anymore.

Anymore? Don't think he ever cared to begin with

Lol haven’t you heard what the league thinks of our organization now. Y’all really don’t pay attention to anything do you?

What did you think was going to happen?

Tepper got approved over the other guys bc he was the one the least likely to be a money suck on the league. Goodell wanted the rich guy. That doesn’t mean the other owners wanted him.

Hes literally twice to three times as rich as the next guy and replaced an owner who:

A. Wasn’t in that elite rich class

B. Was a massive wrecking ball to anyone who challenged the owners.

Tepper basically came in and stuck his finger in every other owners eye by being richer than them, signing guys like Eric Reid, giving a college coach a MASSIVE deal. No telling what he’s been doing behind the scenes to try and throw his weight around.

So….Nobody was going to welcome the outsider whale with open arms. I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if there were powers at work whispering in Deshaun’s ear  not to come here and pushing him toward the hapless Haslems.

See above.

If you're hoping to get somebody to buy something from you, treating them like peons isn't good business.

how many times do you see the president of ATT in commercials or directly addressing the customer? Coke? McDonalds? Paypal? Cisco? Any $B business? the owners job of a big corp isn’t to sell the product to the customer. that’s what PR and sales depts are for.

Tim Cook at MacWorld doesn’t count either. he’s not answering questions or selling product, he’s introducing new products. tepper is usually on hand when new draft picks are introduced.

silence from a CEO is not treating you like a peon. this is just another TRD “WE NEED ANSWERS” thread

How many of those guys are in the entertainment business?

How many have an organization as small as an NFL team?

How many are very visible in good times but disappear when things get bad?

The NFL is nothing like a computer company.

TBF I don't even know who the CEO of Comcast or Viacom/CBS is without googling it so I'm not sure they help your point.

Tepper was very visible when he first arrived on the scene, he knew he wasn't the fanbase's 1st choice, so he reached out.

We still see him around, he just won't talk to us/the press. He doesn't want to argue his decision.  He'll talk to us again when he has something else to talk about.

He gave Rhule a 7 yr contract to communicate to him that he is going to give him time and he's doing just that.

this is irrelevant. they are a $B business selling something to a customer. what they are selling doesn’t matter, sales and marketing policies are the same. do you see the president of sony or disney trying to sell you DVDs?

How many have an organization as small as an NFL team?
the panthers have roughly 350 employees. the CEO of a company that size does not sell product, especially one worth over $1B.

How many are very visible in good times but disappear when things get bad?
this is taking information out of context to fit your narrative. it is just as likely that, as has been expressed in other posts, that he’s learning to to stay tf out of the public eye.

The NFL is nothing like a computer company.
i mentioned many industries. if you want more, how about higher ed? they are a big business selling diplomas. health care, they sell peace of mind. automotive, delivery services, the list goes on and on. c-level people in $B businesses are detached from their customers. make no mistake, the NFL is a business first. they give zero fugs about what any of us think.
