Robbie Anderson tweet

He was tired of green eggs tired of Sam," I can't eat no more green egg's I can't ball with no Sam".

He left down 95 South to blue smock man with W promises and donuts in hand.

Teddy said he was no wizard "He's just a regular man!" "No donuts no W's and no two minute plan".

Poof! Teddy was trash. Some two gloved scam. "Hey Jetville is nice" said the blue smocked man.

Robbie wakes up screaming and hears "what's up man?" No W's just donuts and green egg'd Sam.

Robbie had a bad year. If he has a year like last, then I’ll be fully on board with calling him out.

I just don’t like this whole “player cashed out, and got lazy” because it’s traditionally only levied on a certain type of player.

It happens to a lot of players. Some of them just aren't as passionate about football as they are other interests. It's not a slur, it's just that plenty of professional athletes happen to be very good at what they do but they might not be passionate about what they do.

If you look at guys like Cam, TD, Luke, Steve Smith, etc.....those guys are driven to be the best. They work constantly to excel and get better because that's just in them.

But there are way more players that aren't driven like that. We've had plenty of those. Those guys aren't rare in the NFL. It doesn't mean they are necessarily wrong any more than your co-worker who is just a mediocre employee is wrong. It's just a job to them. They aren't driven to be the best at what they do.

For Robby, I don't get that impression that he strives to excel at what he does. This is just a means to an end. Look at someone like Horn, who is constantly training with other elite DB's and picking their brains. Constantly working to get better and improve. That guy is very likely to be successful(barring any major injury issues) because he's driven to do so.

Robbie has shown plenty of times that he actually gives a damn. Even amid his drops. What you're saying doesn't equal up.

I mean, I guess if you mean yelling at Sam Darnold, I guess so. Or complaining about the fans booing.

But if you really cared, you wouldn't be pondering retirement because you have to go back to work. If there is any more clear indication of someone that either hates their job(which is possible given the level of dysfunction in our franchise) or doesn't love the sport anymore.

Anderson just restructured his contract in March, converting $11.675 million of his salary into a signing bonus, and he’d have to pay back that signing bonus if he were to retire. Which makes it seem unlikely that he’ll actually follow through on retiring.

I'm not sure what you mean by a certain type of player.  Jay Cutler is another one widely known for it.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
