So what happens with Darnold if Baker is the starter

In my opinion he has to be cut or traded.  We can’t have Matt Corral as a third stringer, he needs reps in practice to develop as our future QB if we decide to move on from Baker.

I know what Ellis said, but I'm really hoping they just release him.  The difference between him and PJ is minimal, and hopefully neither would have to see the field regardless and just let Corral sit and develop, be it as the 2 or 3.

They are going to pray for an injury during training camp so they can ship him off for basically the same deal they got Baker for. If Corral plays well during preseason it would be really awkward to have Sam inactive in the regular season. Maybe they come up with a bs injury settlement since he probably would rather be boogie boarding in cali?

You keep him for the season. Stop creating dead cap for a player you're gonna get rid of anyways at the end of the year.
