The five most underrated free agent signings of this offseason (from The 33rd Team)

Believe it or not, number five is one of ours (a certain center)

From the article...

5) Bradley Bozeman (OC, Carolina Panthers)

The Panthers are another team that needed reinforcements on the offensive line, which is why Bradley Bozeman is a nice signing for them. The Panthers also signed Guard Austin Corbett, and drafted Ikem Ekwonu (OT, NC State) in the first round of this past draft.

Bozeman signed a 1-year contract worth $2.8 million with some incentives. Carolina seemingly got Bozeman for much cheaper than his recent play suggests he is worth.

Since establishing a role for himself with the Ravens in 2019, Bozeman has played in 16 games in each season making him a very durable center for the Panthers.

Id love to extend Bozeman and our Oline could be very good if Christensen and Icky turn out which seems like they will.

Jury is out on both Icky and Christensen.  I didn't think Christensen looked as good as every one else did, but we also had him play all along the line.  If we slot him in at LG and keep him there, he may develop into a really good linemen.

As for Icky, he's a rookie so we'll see.  He faces Garrett game one.

Only time Christensen ever looked good was when he was playing tackle.  His game isn't strength.  This is why I have trouble understanding why so many forum coaches want to put him inside.  That's not his game.  If you tell me we're going to use him as a swing tackle, I'm on board.  Getting a quality swing tackle with a third round pick is good business.

Look, if he works out at guard, I'm excited.  I just don't see it.

I think he's going to be our swing tackle. He's not a guard unless some miracle happens with line coaching. His technique isn't good enough ATM to handle to power rush. He's used to having room to slide to the side and not having to back up vertically. It's kind of like leading with the other foot walking up stairs. You can do it, but it just feels weird.

That doesn't dictate his career.

You're right it doesn't.    He still has a tough schedule ahead

- Week 1: Myles Garrett

- Week 2: Kayvon Thibodeaux/Leonard Williams

- Week 3: Cameron Jordan/Marcus Davenport

- Week 4: J.J. Watt/Zach Allen

- Week 5: Nick Bosa

Yeah he was getting bull rushed by linebackers at BYU, shouldn't be going up against 300 pound DT's

Give me Deonte Brown at LG, and let him and Ickey road grade, throw Tremble over there as well...Outside zone with CMC, and Hubbard with their ability to cut back inside as needed with Freeman to supplement the power game.

Brady should be the immediate back up at tackle, the Erving. Daley and Elflein interior depth. Best we can do right now.

I hope we have a few guys on their end of the season version of this list.

Most of the league has one of those guys.   No days off in this league

    • Never been. Going to a concert there Thursday night. Decent tailgating opportunities in the parking area or no? I see people are going to the beer hall to grab a beer to get their parking validated. Seems like a good plan to me. I'd like to smoke a brisket and do a decent spread of food but I just don't know if the parking setup allows for it.
