Corral regrets Ole Miss

Gonna probably guess this is kind of out of context.  Im sure he would have preferred more competition, but that sounds and seems like more of a coaching problem than a program problem.  Hes also echoing probably what a lot of players probably eventually feel when coaches sweeten the pot just to get a recruit they want to sign there.  Regardless, he has instantly become the most interesting piece of our training camp.

Entirely misleading article title from crap publication.

*He regrets the decision being based on not having to compete for a spot.  Likes having to earn it, thriving off competition.

this. hot take is wrong on Corrall's comments.

Corrall wished he had competed for a spot rather than switching schools. has nothing to do with Ole Miss.

    • I like the approach Morgan takes in free agency where we fill holes with at least serviceable players and use the draft for BPA. So, I expect us to bring in a Safety, 1 really good LB and 1 kinda so so vet LB in case they lose faith in Wallace, an edge rusher, and with ickey's injury I think we will be the team that overpays for a LT like Rasheed Walker with the plan to move him to RT depending on Ickey's health and how long Moton wants to play.
    • Look at Rashid Saheed contract for 2024. He was more productive than Coker but probably a good reference. I think it was 1 year 5.2 million.
    • I expect the same strategy as we did last year. 3 year deals for guys around 25 to 28 years old and have the cap number be lower in 2026 and back load the contracts for 2027 and 2028 when our cap space is 100 million in 2027 and 360 million in 2028. With the years of terrible drafting this team had under Rhule and Fitterer and the lack of picks from all the panic QB trades has made it where we have few long-term contract commitments on the roster.  I'm sure there's probably some restructures and cuts we can make to give ourselves some more room this year if we need it but overall, our cap situation is in a good spot under Dan and Brandt.  I think we'll be pretty big spenders again this year. With us making the playoffs and being in a weak division I see Morgan being pretty aggressive this offseason.
