Three other QBs out there that can now feel him catching up to them. Hope he knows to say "excuse me, coming through," as he climbs the depth chart here.

PJ is already toast. Mayfield and Darnold don't have contracts for next year. If Corral can outplay them in training camp and those guys choke in the early season even the slightest, he's going to get his shot.

Rhule doesn't have the luxury to red shirt the guy. Mayfield and Darnold need to use that for motivation, otherwise they will be getting some valuable experience in the clipboard holding field for their next jobs.

PJ will be a special teams player on the roster, mark it down now.

Also do we really carry 3 QB’s this year? Especially with PJ’s Rhule connect guaranteeing him a roster spot.

I think we shop darnold. Maybe keeping him until the QB market starts to get injuries.

Full vid already floating around but this is time stamped to this drill. Corral obviously is faster and more accurate than the others. I thought Bakers thing was accuracy? Sam looks like he doesn't care. PJ would be fine as the actual 3rd string if Corral moved up

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
