Is Rhule trying to showcase Darnold and Pj to try to get picks for a trade?  Only justification I can think of for how much those 2 for playing time. Maybe they know Corral will be on the team anyway so play those 2 and see what we get??

Shocked y'all didn't think this highly of smith. It's a light switch for him. He's got otherworldly talent and in this game with no real tape, planning on O, he's gonna be looking like a stud. Measurables were thru the roof. He would do this at psu what killed scouts was mostly consistency. Never really took over at psu as expected for the #1 ILB recruit from HS.

And again, to be clear, I like PJ and my preferred QB room for the reg season is Baker, Matt, and PJ.  But, this is frustrating...  we drafted Matt in the 3rd round for a reason, and yet, are gonna wait to play him with guys who will all be gone in preseason cuts.

Corral's roster spot is completely safe. If by some chance PJ is more equipped to run an NFL offense right now - which IMO is perfectly reasonable to think could be true - its helpful to have him playing with guys that are trying to make the roster. Ideally Corral will get more reps with higher string players later on, once those slots are better worked out.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was given the coaches we have, yes. Players development is influenced by the coaches and other players around them. Very possible Willis is in a better situation and further along.

Practice squad has the change to have some real solid players on it… Spencer Brown, Derek Wright, Keith Kirkwood, etc..
