They managed to turn a complete ass whipping into a less laughable beating by landing a couple of late body blows.

Just when they thought they had a punchers chance to win they get hit with a final upper cut to put them out of their misery.

I actually laughed out loud at this one...perfectly put

The only people I see complaining are the ones saying we lost because of one bad call by the refs.  No, we lost because we played like garbage the entire game and one bad call was the final nail in the coffin after they dug their own graves.  You are not going to win games when you give up that many rushing yards in the first half and you can't run the ball yourself, lucky they were in it at ALL toward the end.

So one of the best RBs in the NFL gained a lot yards? We expected that, didn’t we? Why are you just choosing to ignore that we fought hard to take the lead and were hosed by the refs to take it away?

Yeah, but I also don't think this is a roster that was very well set up to win. Add the worst HC in the NFL, a dash of bottom third coaching staff and that isn't much of a recipe for success.

I can't put a lot of this game on Baker, although he didn't play particularly well.

100%. It is not set up well and used even less well. I have zero faith these people can turn it around. Baker is who he always was. Run the ball, let him make a few plays and don't put it on his back. When we came out and threw it 3 times to open the game with a 3 & out I knew it was not going to be a true run first offense that would work best for him. Don't ask him to be who he isn't and he will not be our biggest problems.

I won't and refuse to acknowledge that.  I will never be one of those fans who say one call determined the outcome of a game...that's YOUR perspective of it and you're more than welcome to support that view just as I am mine.  Get how that works?

It doesn't matter. Someone will blow it every game this season. Heading into the offseason riding a 25-game losing streak.

    • Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.
    • Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
    • The defense has mostly stuck to the "break slowly" and get a turnover or two still zero pass rush
