It's clear we came into this game trying to lose, and PJ was the sacrificial lamb to the draft gods from Tepper.  fuging pathetic he gets injured for fuging nothing, while they have him out there steering the fuging Titanic...  don't let him pass the entire game when it was to his and our benefit that the defense didn't know what was coming.  Then we let him pass when they know we have to pass, down two scores and they tee off on him and knock him out.

Also, aside from the poo calls the entire day - they call roughing on Stafford for a cuddle, then let Ramsey lower his helmet and absolutely blast PJ into oblivion with helmet to helmet contact and that isn't a penalty.  fug you refs.

I'm telling you, Superbowl 50 was the beginning of the dark ages for our franchise.  It's never been the same, and it never will be again.

Let’s talk about the fact that the announcers were cheering the hit, which was a clear helmet to helmet hit. Can we seriously ever get impartial announcers on TV and not fanboys that praise an illegal hit? Not a good look for a league that’s concerned about player safety.

So Wilks, who got shafted in Zona is trying to lose his first game? Come on man, you can say a lot of things about this game but Wilks ain’t trying to lose.

That last paragraph says it all. This did not start with Tepper. Ever since the superbowl this team has been lost.

If you’re not going to embrace the tank you might want to take a break for a bit

Exactly, if you don't like to watch the Panthers lose every week, you might want to find a new hobby for Sunday afternoons.  We will win 3 or less this year.   Time to embrace the tank for a franchise QB.

While the opening game-plan initially looked like it was going to be good….it did turn pretty suspect in terms of if winning was even a desired goal.   Also the game management as a whole was suspect.  I mean keeping all those timeouts going into the half?

not saying he was actually trying to lose.  Maybe the priority was to keep it respectable knowing it is all a giant shitshow.  And a brewing one (see Robbie)

    • Interesting topic.  I have had a few NFL friends and one told me that he could not work out or train unless the activities and facilities were approved. AI: In many NFL contracts, certain activities are restricted, and injuries sustained during those activities can lead to the voiding of contract guarantees or even the entire contract. These restrictions often include dangerous activities like skydiving, rock climbing, or even engaging in contact sports like boxing. Additionally, injuries sustained while working out at non-team facilities or during personal recreational activities may be classified as "non-football injuries," potentially impacting the player's compensation.    Having said that, I question the reason the person filming this was not helping.  Secondly, the decision to put it on social media makes it seem a bit prearranged.  I do not think this would violate his contract, but I do think it is a bit stupid on his part in that he could be injured.
    • Doesn't make it right.  And as you put it, you wanted to ban him from being country, which is essentially policing who he is as a person lol  I get protecting the "asset", but banning people from living their life is crazy. Russell Wilson likes to play helicopter pilot.  I would deem that WAY more dangerous.  Those things scare me.  I still wouldn't want to keep him from doing it if I were his boss.  I would just try not to think about it, haha.
    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
