Ok, so now that we know 100% that QB will be our pick in rd 1.. Let’s talk about our 2nd biggest need, WR. Who do we love in the 2nd?

There is no doubt that Tepper wants a QB and wants one badly, even if by some miracle we win a few games and drop to pick 8 or something and miss our on Young or Stroud (not going to happen) you better believe we are absolutely taking one in the first round, be it Stroud at 1 or reaching for someone like Hooker at 7 or 8, it’s happening.

So with that out of the way, one position that we as fans don’t talk about nearly enough and it’s a HUGE need is WR, yes I like Moore and yes I think he is back next year, but we haven’t had that “1, 2 punch” at WR since the Smitty/Moose days and we need that badly as outside of Moore, our roster lacks that legit no 2 WR to pair with Moore and our new franchise QB.

I don’t keep up with college at all, so assuming we are picking at the top of the 2nd, who do you like at WR?!

1) QB should be the pick in the first, but i've seen some nutty stuff in the past and i've no reason to believe i won't see it in the future. nothing in the draft is 100% predictable.

2) WR isn't our 2nd biggest need and if it is, i'd rank  a big DE, big LB, and good TE as just about as necessary. TE i'd actually hope to find in FA, because we'd definitely need one or two solid options there for a rookie QB. but i'd have those three up there in the discussion.

WR is not our second biggest need. We need pass rushers and hog mollies on the dline. We also need a TE the can catch. But most of all we have to rebuild the qb room.

i don't want to see any of our current QBs on the roster next year.

and yes, that DL needs beef.

I don’t think a WR would be out of the question at the top of the 2nd round but ideally you’re getting the top ranked TE.

I’d like to say pass rusher but I cannot remember the last time a top of the 2nd round DE actually became a great player.

WRs do. LBs do. TEs do.

I'm not a big fan of moving up in drafts but if we owned the #1 pick?

I'd be okay moving up from the 33rd spot if there was someone great in the end of the first or middle.  Using that 33rd pick plus something wouldn't be that massive of a cost.

I mean, the Otah/Stewart year catches a lot of hell.  But in reality, we hit on two super studs.  One just couldn't stay healthy and you can't predict that.

biggest needs IMO are DE, then LB, then TE IMO.

hell, you can find a Robbie Anderson type WR in the middle of the draft.  League is slammed full of them.  Most people don't make them starters.  Bad teams do.

A good TE would be a huge help to a young QB.  We don't even have an average one on the roster.
