It’s also the OSU hate. I get it, I’m not a fan, but I’m also not going to deny obvious talent when I see it.

Yep.

I don't fully understand the people clamoring to the OSU QB "omen". It's not like they've produced fools gold either.  They've only produced 4 1st round QBs...4!

2 being Don Scott and Art Schilcter...both irrelevant from by gone eras in a totally different game. 1940s and 1980s.

There's been Dwayne Haskins and Justin Fields.  And teams in the league didn't buy them as even top-10 overall talent.  So it's not like there's even monumental busts.

Not to mention, Haskins looked capable of running an offense, maybe a long term backup/emergency starter and then died.  He actually had a few pretty respectable games in his final starts before the covid ordeal. The Skins were the worst team for him to being drafted to.

And then, you have Fields who looks respectable this year.

I don't really see a trend and both Haskins and Fields are ENTIRELY different players.

My 2 cents.

Stroud's intelligence, accuracy, & arm shows and his play speaks for itself.

Stroud my #1 by miles. The knocks, NFL team at OSU to work with, and plays a lot out of the gun, and slighter frame to hieght.

Big deal on those. He makes the throws and has read defenses pre snap and made big reads and throws with pressure.

He's a clear #1. If we have the chance, pull the trigger

If you are a fan of Ohio State, the problem with Stroud is that he doesn't play defense.

The fact that they did not put the ball in the end zone on the last drive was not on him.  He put the ball where it needed to be, his TE got his hands on it, he just didn't secure it and the DB made a great play.

That’s basically CatsFan lol. OSU gave up 38 points which means Stroud is somehow trash xD

Like I've said all year, if Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern and any of the other Big 10 schools not named Michigan get to be in the NFL, then CJ Stroud is the guy.  But if he has to play against NFL talent, he will be lost and isn't worth a first round grade.

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
