I'm high on Penix as well.  I think he sneaks into the late first round.  Tune from Houston has put up some numbers and I know @saX manhas been high on him.  I think Ward has potential, but probably stays another year.  Jaren Hall has been flying under the radar, but he is small and Wilson struggling might also hurt his chances...

Penix is going to make some team very happy. I've watched a lot of UW games and would be stoked if we got him (assuming we miss out on Stroud/Young). I believe as many discount Young due to his size, the same argument/concerns could be made about Penix's injury history.

Kid is a high first round talent outside of his injuries. 

Ideal build, athleticism, cannon for an arm, mobile, accurate, assesses the field and has experience. Pac-12 doesn't field the best competition, so that would be a negative.

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
