This is not a win win league. The team that makes a move that gets them closer to a SB and dominating their conference is the W. The other team is the L until they prove their haul is better at winning a SB than what they gave up. If the Panthers struggle to overcome the 49ers for the remainder of CMCs career, than the "haul" will go down in history as one of the biggest Ls in the Panthers front office history.

Wilks was here in 2014 when we won the division with a crap record. Hopefully if we do win it and make the playoffs this year it's with a winning record at least. Playoffs at 9-8 would be an incredibly successful season considering the start, Rhule's bullsh*t, and our QB room... I think it's very possible. Lions O will be tough but I think we can win that game like we won today with ball control and pressure/takeaways. Pulling for 9-8 so we have a chance to have back to back winning seasons finally in 2023. If we lose another from here it can't happen until 2024 at the soonest.

Where did you hear that CMC requested the trade??

 

They show an interview today w/ Greg Olsen on FOX and he said he was kinda shocked and thought he would be a Carolina Panther his entire career.

It was reported after Rhule got fired he wanted to move on. That's why they traded him. He was probably shocked someone gave up the compensation the Panthers wanted.

Lol, it's not like he didn't give the organization a chance. Guys play speaks for itself... imagine if Panthers had the other pieces in place to compliment. It's been a VERY long time since RB's carried teams to the playoffs.

      Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.

      The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
