Tre Boston is very much on board...

No offense to Klein, as I am a huge fan of his work, but I totally disagree with what the panthers need.  We need someone to make this franchise into a modern nfl team and totally lean into the rules favoring the offense specifically the qb and wrs.  Running the ball is fun sure, but at some point you are going to have to win a shoot out more times then not and you need a scheme to do it.

Also I wish writers and reporters would just chill until the end of the year about removing the interim with wilks.

If Darnold keeps playing mistake free football and moving this offense look out

As long as we don't have to depend on him to win us the game, i.e. wining the time of possession, take aways, and dominating the line of scrimmage, all he has to do is be a game manager. If he can do that, we can win.

i think for this year it's fine. i think even going forward it will still be good to have a team that can bully with the run the way we do.

the problem is that we don't have much of a choice. we certainly don't have a QB that can help us out in a shootout so that's definitely going to have to be addressed, along with a pass catching TE or two.  i don't think we need a personality change as a team, tbh. i like the pounding culture. we just need to add to it, add the capability to kill through the air if needed.

but i have to admit loving watch that seattle defense get wore out because we keep battering away. adding more of an air game to it can only thin out the defense more. i mean the way we're loading up at the line with big bodies, it's only a matter of time before defenses start stacking the box and shutting us down. we don't have much to spread the ball and them out.

if wilkes can keep this aggressive nature going and building, i really don't care what our philosophy is otherwise. more than half the battle is getting players bought in to whatever mindset you are trying to instill. if it's aggressive, situationally aware, and disciplined (which this team seems to be), it will go along way in being successful.

i was big on getting some offensive brain to make us one of those flashy offenses that will pile on the points, but i'm really warming up to the idea of wiles being that guy. Just get him a better OC and QB and TE and i think we're set.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
