It was funny when they showed him(Irving) getting hyped up on the sideline with the other players and then he gets into the game and immediately commit a penalty.  The penalty stumped the momentum well atleast temporarily it did.  It is a reminder that Irving is still around.

Are you referring to his 3rd to last snap right before the 2min warning of the 4th quarter? At that point we were in clock killing mode and ready to settle for a field goal. Not sure I'd call it a momentum killer. Also that was his 17th snap played.

DJ had a drive killer false start when we were on the Seahawks 11 yard line, maybe thats what you are thinking of?

Those extra linemen in on a semi-regular basis are making a huge impact on the games, no pun intended. We are just clobbering the other d-line and linebackers with them.

And sooner or later, one of those big boys is going to sneak out on a pass play since they are having to report in as eligible receivers every time. Just the possibility of that puts some weird wrinkles into defending us.

Don't forget that the pounding were putting on is paying huge dividends in the 4th quarter. when was the last time you remember us literally running the ball down an opponents throat in the 4th quarter without them being able to do anything about it.  It's because of the first half pounding.

Can someone explain why he was in? Moton sucks but this guy quickly reminds you of the upgrade to moton, who is clearly the weak link this year and shows just how historically bad it was under rhule

Do they have a post office in your world?

Local government?

Or is everything just run by the pink elephants and giant snowmen?

WE'RE DOING SOMETHING THAT SEEMS TO WORK WELL!! WHY?? WHY, I ASK???

Because the narrative and base for Wilks to get HC position is coming to fruition. The anti Wilks crowd is starting to get increasingly negative and making louder comments that show a lack of football knowledge. It has literally been draft position, questions about not trading good players, now comes the questionable nitpicking, and then it will be all out screaming look how he did in Arizona.

Thought the same thing. Although I guess Wilks deserves credit for mixing it up and trying to get him some useful reps since we are paying him.

It will never not be embarrassing that Rhule really sought him and Elflein out as priority free agents on day 1...

Panthers have been using extra linemen to jumpstart the running game since Steve Wilks took over. when Erving is in he's usually the 6th or 7th lineman on the field. see Cade Mays at fullback last couple games. it's just to get better matchups in run block, that's it. get that 6th OL to block a linebacker at the point of attack. that's all.

Kinda how the cowboys ran all over us last year and we couldn't do anything about it.

that's what i was going to point out. a big part of the reason they have been so successful with the run game is that they put the added beef up front. Front 7s are just overwhelmed.

Add to the fact that modern NFL teams have really become lighter to defend the pass and it's why it has worked so well. The LBs these days are basically SS 10 years ago so those boys just eat them up. Got to give McAdoo credit. Hes playing 1998 football against teams trying to play 2022 ball.

what we're doing to others is what was done to us the last couple years.

we kept getting bullied, but it was "ok" because it was part of rhule's plan or something like that.

wilks gets in charge and we start becoming the bullies.
