Meh, the Bucs tanked for years (unintentionally) and it didn't do them much good.  They even had the top pick in the draft, drafted a qb, and that qb now plays for New Orleans.  Or I should say occasionally plays for New Orleans.

Bucs will be back to that after Brady retires.

I honestly think it's fool's gold. We've beaten the Falcons (terrible). The Broncos (terrible). The Ravens (reeling, 1-3 over their last 4). The Seahawks (reeling, 2-3 over their past five with all three losses being to teams with losing records).

Even with our offensive game plan entirely built around decreasing Sam Darnold's ability to lose games for us, that multiple turnover game is coming. We all know it.

We lost to the Ravens with Baker stinking it up. But I hear you.

They had to sign a qb in free agency to get a Super Bowl.

The Bucs are basically us. The only difference is that they actually capitalized on their two shots.

We talk every year about how preseason games can't match the speed and intensity of a regular season game.

Likewise, regular season games can't match the speed and intensity of a playoff game.

So many of our core guys have never experienced playoff football. Even if we go one and done, the experience our core guys will get will be invaluable moving forward.

Does it mean a later draft pick? Yup. That just means Fitterer has to step up and find great players regardless of where we are picking. That's his job.

You are exactly right

I'm all in because it wouldn't matter if I wasn't. I also realize that this off-season is the key and getting the HC, DC and especially OC correct are going to be the key to success moving forward. It wouldn’t matter if we had the 1st, 2nd and 3rd pick this year with a coach like Rhule at the helm. We have to get this right or it's another 3-5 years of purgatory.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
