I wanted to strangle him after the first Falcon game but he has redeemed himself and deserves to be our kicker moving forward. What does everyone think?

Maybe if he could kick the ball to the endzone so teams arent starting at midfield

I’m not sure, Gonzalez was really good last year. Probably should let them battle it out during training camp. I’m sure whoever we pick will go on to suck while the the other one becomes an all-pro for someone else. This is the way of the panthers after all

He’s done fine. But need to see him in another clutch moment. Without his choke in ATL we could have won the division by now.

I agree.  He has really only had one game where he kicked with the game on the line, and he failed.  And his kickoffs aren't great.

He is doing very well. He hasn't missed a FG since the Atlanta game. But I would like to see some game winners from beyond 50 to keep him. Gonzales was money before he got hurt. Let's hope Gonzales is totally recovered.

depending on how the next two games go, that falcon loss could be what keeps us out of the playoffs

 

he's been great and nobody is ever supposed to be perfect, but that game was inexcusable and potentially detrimental to the whole season

he’s only made 17 straight. get to 100, and maybe teh huddlez will deem him worthy of vet min

The good news is with Rodriguez getting healthy we can have a good kicker competition this preseason and both are somewhat proven now.
