Huh? He never played a minute with Rhule. He signed with the Giants and Gettleman right at the start of free agency. We signed Shaq to a big deal instead. How did Rhule even know about an ego? Marty was the only holdover from 2019.

Sigh… read the comment again.

Lol the moral victory posters.  This is why we can't be a good team.  Stop accepting this terrible product.  Team is cursed.

Yup. A good litmus test is to compare this to other fanbases expectations. 75% of other fanbases wouldn’t feel good about this season. The panthers fanbase is so desperately starved for anything good that we have to find our moral victory in an interim coach going 5-5 to finish the season (while missing the playoffs and ruining the chance to draft a franchise QB without trading away future drafts). It’s not the fans fault we are here, but this is pretty much rock bottom.

I don’t get it. I loved Bradberry as well and we should have kept him. I just don’t get the Rhule and ego part. Sarcasm?

Bradberry didn’t buy into Rhules system. That’s why Rhule cut him out. Ya he didn’t play a snap but he also knew what Rhule was. You have a corner talent like that where he is suppose to be. You keep him.

What the hell is wrong with some of you?

I mean okay....they lost to the Bucs and we shouldn't be throwing up high-five's for having a f-cking pulse after having none with Rhule but at the end of the day, looking at "silver linings" is the only goddamn thing we got.

So what the f*ck else you people want???

I don't get it.

Oh wait....You are all upset about Draft position....It's always about Draft position with many of you.

Never about "Let's root for the team to win", right?

Draft position THESE NUTS, okay?   christ....

Ignorant comment. He’s had two fluke injuries. Other than that he’s shaping up to be one of the best in the league

Two fluke injuries in two season as a pro. As many games missed as played. Most players have “fluke” injuries. CMC had a bunch. Maybe in year 3 of 5 he can stay on the field more.

Ignorant would be ignoring his injury history as a pro. We can’t rely on him or Jackson to be on the field.

Winning meaningless games does nothing but hurt your ability to improve in the future. It's the downside of pro sports fandom. There's comes a point in bad seasons where losing literally becomes in your best interest. The fun thing about college sports is that there's never any competitive advantage to losing. You can always guilt free root to win. That's not the case in pro sports. Moral victories don't matter. They don't exist. You are what your record says you are. You're better off with higher draft picks than wins that don't contribute to a playoff appearance.

Ask your old Jets fan brethren what silver linings mean to anyone.

So why watch Regular season NFL games then if all our main focus is getting high Draft picks?

And even if we got High Draft picks, Fitterer would just trade down a billion times again...

    • Today, we are all Kucci... I miss our feral Russian attack goalie!
    • That was a good segment. Watched every minute of it and would highly recommend it to all fans.
    • "So much of what the Panthers are going to do next week isn't dictated by their preference, but by what happens above them. That's another benefit of not getting locked into need. For instance, if you're thinking you want a receiver, seeing five or six of them go off the board and reacting by taking the sixth or seventh off your list instead of the first (or second or third) something else isn't necessarily wise." https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-back-into-the-weeds-of-the-nfl-draft-bryce-young-charlotte-hornets-mock-draft This is what some don't seem to get, I don't care how many times it is said: You're NOT going to draft an inferior person at one position, just because that position is perceived as, or is in fact, a bigger need. That would basically nullify, or at least lessen, the reason why you set yourself up via free agency to be able to take the BPA/BAP on the board in the first place.  Yes, the process is complex, very much involved and ongoing, but the overall philosophy is not rocket science. You set yourself up in order not to be pigeonholed into taking a lower graded player at the expense of a higher graded one. This is why Morgan, Gantt and countless of others say the same thing. This is why it's just nonsensical to set yourself in a position where you don't have to, but then act like you have to come hell or high water: "Oh, we have to draft [whatever position], and we can't draft [this position]."  I'm good with whatever they do, until proven otherwise, but even then, you have to be mature enough to know that drafting is an imperfect exercise, filled with hits and misses. And, you generally don't know if you've hit, and especially missed, right away. Moreover, like I've said before, sometimes two players--different positions or not--can both be hits on their respective teams, so in that sense, it's not purely about a right or wrong pick as much as it's about putting puzzle pieces together at the time the best way that you know how.  At the end of the day, people are going to believe what they want to believe, but one thing that's true is that what the Panthers do regarding the draft is dependent upon what others do, and what others do can and does change things. That being the case, it's just another reason why you can't go in with tunnel vision. The thought of doing that is preposterous.
