Coaching interview updates

There is this minor detail that could become an issue as the draft draws closer.

Instead of using the pick to hire Payton, use a second rounder to move up in the draft.  Take Levis...Reich is supposed to be the perfect coach for him...(not an endorsement--I simply read an article, enhancing my overall knowledge).

Just throwing it out there.

And since you asked (nobody), I am not as high on the first two rated QBs and I am warming to #3 (Levis) and #4 (Richardson).  So there is that.

Well when it matters u only get 7 points… just seamed the Giants weren’t ready tonight.. for a division foe they are usually closer..he could be good but tonight’s performance has me wondering!! Steichen now just had a great game plan!! No mercy!!

It mattered last week and Daniel Jones looked like Patrick Mahomes.

Although not a fan of hiring Kafka, one game does not make anyone a good/bad hire for HC, Steichen included. This time last year a lot of fans wanted Byron Leftwich as HC, now no one would consider him. With young coordinators, it's going to be hit or miss whether they have the leadership and motivational abilities to do the job, just not play calling or scheme.

We all need to cook our jets on Kafka and Steichen. Let the interviews go down (hopefully in person soon) and see what happens.

I’ll be sick if we trade up for Levis.

Levis and AR are definitely exciting, high ceiling QBs. If we land Steichen or Kafka they both make intriguing picks that need developing.

I would still be fine with Kafka. No way the Giants are a top four team in the NFC. But they had a great game plan all year due to our boy.

That said, on this teeter totter of emotions Panthers fans call a coaching search, I have moved off of my Steichen/Kafka 1A, 1B thoughts. I am now firmly Steichen one and Kafka two. With Payton at three, mainly due to draft compensation.

Let’s go to Philly and get our man.

    • this is made up bullshit, no way you watch bryce float balls and throw up rainbows and come to the conclusion his velocity is 55-60 mph, theres no way in hell, sorry.  if the average QB velocity is 55-60 Bryce is more like 40-45 if that.
    • Whatever happened behind the scenes, he was a net negative for us on the ice. That doesn't happen with a player of his caliber by accident.
    • Smoke is a pretty good reason to assume something is on fire, even if you don't see it, He didn't say it publicly, but there is a reason he was traded, same reason The Panthers dealt Thelien, he made it clear to the parties involved that he wasn't going to sign long term here, infact I remember him saying he has yet to decide if he's staying in Carolina or not, he obviously chose not CMC never actually said the words he wanted out of Carolina, but his hamstrings are coincidently holding up better with the 9ers, and his family made their joy public after he was traded Just because someone can't legally or politically say something, doesn't make it less true
