This is just a random unofficial website award, not anything official?

It's PFT,but I've seen more than one suggestion he'll won the NFL award too.

Truthfully though, it's not the award.

It's that he managed to finish a season and did well after we traded him.

Some of us preached it was much less about his knack for injury and much more about his utilization.

The fact that he went the first 3 seasons without injury is astounding. Happy for the guy as he’s with a franchise who can actually utilize him and hope he gets a shot at a Lombardi.

Not only that, the dude was used like every play at Stanford...

I honestly think one of his best traits was avoiding unnecessary or big hits. I also think the only reason he kept getting reinjured last year was because we were trying to rush him back thinking we were still in the playoff race the first half of the year instead of letting him completely heal

I’d still make the trade we did 100 times out of 100.

rare win win trade.

Niners got a great player who may be able to help them win a championship. We got some cap relief and a haul for a running back who has been really unlucky with injuries.

Yeah, that 60-64th overall pick is really gonna come in handy! We traded a hall of fame talent for a bunch of mid rounders because we didn't know how to properly utilize him, I'd hardly call that a win-win. They're on their 3rd string quarterback and haven't lost a step on offense because of him.

It's like trying to pretend you’re okay with hearing your wife get fugged every night because at least she let you hang a poster in the basement and her new boyfriend brings you a happy meal sometimes. You weren't able to please her in the bedroom for years and you've slowly been growing apart and then she suggested you open the relationship. You wanted to disagree but you don't make enough income and you work too long hours as it is, so you can't really afford to lose the house to her in a divorce and all the lawyer fees, etc. You just sheepishly accept it and every night you have to listen to another man pleasing her while you drink and play Xbox 360 (you couldn't afford any newer consoles) in the basement, turning the volume up to try and drain out the noise. But it doesn't work. It NEVER works.

That is this fanbase. Our wife is getting fugged right now. They're going to win a superbowl with him while we sit at home trying to cope, pretending our crappy second round pick is a fair trade.

CMC wanted out of Carolina. He was done here. This team has been led by incompetence for years, starting with the owner(s). We got more for him than we would have this offseason. Nobody is really happy about how things played out with CMC from his usage to the contract, to Matt Rhule's limp dick offense over the past 3 years. I can only hope the trade benefits us by showing Tepper what can be done with an offensive minded HC and some creative playcalling.

I was raked over the coals by a lot of folks here for saying that I thought CMC was milking minor injuries to avoid wearing out the tread on his tires being run into the ground on a team that sucked where feeding him the ball constantly was their best hope and that don't be shocked if he forces his way out of here and suddenly becomes much more durable playing for a better team.

Well, what now?

CMC was one of my favorite players we ever drafted and I can’t dislike the guy.  I personally think the 49ers are the team to beat this season and he is one of the main reasons why.  The guy makes an offense when healthy.  He is just incredibly talented.

We received a decent return for him and needed to shed that salary but on the field we lost that trade if he stays healthy.  That is my feeling on this trade.  We probably won’t find a player with those picks anywhere near what he brings to the table
