The Chargers had Herbert and a +5 turnover ratio and couldn't win.

How much do QBs matter again?

What are you even doing? Lawrence shook off a 4 INT first half and finished with 28 points while Herbert put up 7. QB's have always mattered.

this is legit the only football community that has members try to argue that QBs aren't important. definitely a special community

It is some special level of coping mechanism or Bad QB Stockholm Syndrome.

Can you imagine, one of these stained t-shirt, basement dwellers talking to an NFL GM and giving some speech on how the QB isn't important to winning in the NFL?

Not even Skip Bayless or Colin Cowturd could deliver that troll opinion with a straight face.

it’s especially weird in this case because Jax sank or swam on Lawrence’s back entirely, he had a bad first half and thus the team was bad, he went off in the second half thus the team was superb

i get that this weird anti-QB crowd was standing giddily at the ready at the end of the second quarter last night and now the narrative has to be salvaged and framed in a different context, but nobody is falling for it

last night was such a thorough deconstruction of “QBs aren’t important” and that it happened with a number one overall pick having so much influence-and ultimately winning a playoff game for a persistently bad franchise-only rubs salt in the wound of this odd crowd that’s fighting so hard against really vanilla truths.

I don’t think it’s that. I think many of them want an average QB because of their belief on “the way the game should be played”

True enough, but the second half performance was due in in large part to Travis Etienne, some great offensive line play, some horrific defensive play, and some dumb mistakes by Joey Bosa.

Herbert overall actually played better than Lawrence.  Just didn't get the good support from his team that Lawrence did.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
