Would you bench Purdy for Garoppolo?

Nope not at this point. I would roll with Purdy to see if I just got some lightning in a bottle and look to discard some QB's for some draft picks if I did. Though he may have been shaky at times last week, they should stay with Purdy. For a rookie, not too bad so far this season!

I dunno--who gives you the best chance?  I stay with the hot hand, personally. Wasn't Wentz good to go when Foles got hot in Philly a few years back?

I doubt that I would, but I would have the hook ready.  That could create a preparation problem for opponents.  Preparing based on Purdy and having Garoppolo come in at the first sign of trouble would cause some adjustments on the fly.

The '72 Dolphins stuck with Earl Morrall even though Bob Griese had recovered from his injury and was available for the playoffs.  When Morrall struggled against the Steelers in the AFCC, Griese was inserted at halftime and led them to a win and trip to the Owl.  I could see a similar situation with the 49ers taking shape this year, although Morrall was a 38-year old vet and Purdy is in his first year.
