QB needy teams drafting before us

There should be some QB's available via trade and free agency this year. Brady, Rodgers, Jones, Jackson, Carr, Tannehill, Garrapolo, Lance...

Who do you think lands where? Especially focusing on the teams drafting before us.

2. HOU - prob rookie

4. Colts - Carr? Jones?

5. Raiders - Brady? Rodgers?

8. Falcons - Lamar? Rookie? Roll with Ridder?

Houston-rookie

Colts-rookie

Raiders- FA veteran.  Roster is too stacked to wait on a rookie to develop.

Falcons-?????????? Who the heck knows.  Whispers were they weren't overly impressed with Ridder.  Could be a rookie, could be a veteran.  Scary enough, we are in the same boat.

1. Chicago could trade their pick to someone looking for a qb like Saints, Commanders, Jets, etc.

2. Houston draft qb

3. Arizona goes dline but they could always trade back

4. Colts draft qb; no way they roll with another vet

5. Seahwaks depends what happens with Gino

6. Detroit probably not but they could take a qb if they really like one

7. Raiders dumped their vet so maybe they want a qb

8. Atlanta is in the same boat as us; took one last year will they again?

9. The cupboard is bare.

I see more scenarios where we don't get a top 3 qb than where one drops to us.

I am guessing the following aren't FA available: Brady, Rodgers, Jones, Jackson, Tannehill

Carr and Garoppolo will definitely be available.

Lance is a maybe.

Houston goes rookie.

Colts are very hard to say without a coach. I tend to think rookie.

Raiders will try Brady and see if that happens. I think they opt for a veteran.

Falcons strike me as a rookie or veteran FA.

idk man it seems like every year one or two QB's fall that nobody on earth would've imagined.

If the Bears don't put that pick on the auction block they're crazy. That roster needs a lot of help. They don't need the #1 pick. They need a lot of picks.

I think they swap picks with Indy so they still get one of the Dline studs assuming the draft starts QB,QB. Then that’s where we trade with Seattle to get Stroud I think he will be the QB left

I had the same/sim thoughts over one month ago, just two days into my draft class update...... "theres no chance one of the top four makes it the 9th pick". It started with looking at the "meh" cream of WR, LT, CB, and DE/edge........ there are no insane cannt miss guys form the top valued groups. Sooooo more teams will just go for the QB dart......(imo)

Plus I feel AR will own the combine, hes a true freakshow. If he lays down 4.4-4.59 40 along with other eye popping numbers, his stock will jump into the top 8.....even if the current top 8 dont take the bait, some team behind the panthers WILL.

I keep reading Levis, levis, levis reports as well......like 0 chance he makes it out of the top 5.....and hes got a good odds at being #1 overall.....not that i agree.

So.......panthers are in deep waters.......this will be a true test for finessererererer. Huge poke hands being played this year and if you/new HC must have one of the top QBs, you got to trade up.....its not going to cheap either.....

I would say wait til their 2nd round pick and the drop off would be tiny in DL terms..........but steelers robbed them blinded. Another kicker is that pick was the 32nd so it is a "1st", just no 5th year......but still not worth claypool.

    • Yeah one big factor has been he is surprisingly quite durable. But the reality of that aspect is much of it boils down to plain dumb luck more often than not. Big guys get hurt smaller guys get hurt it happens across the league to anyone to varying degrees. The issue is we are staring down the barrel of a possible top 10 QB salary and Bryce Young is one of the least physically gifted starters in the league. That is not a shot at him it is simply a rational acknowledgment of circumstances. There is a legitimate question to be asked if his window as a starter in this league is smaller as a result because what is going to happen when those hits that he has previously popped right back up from with a smile on his face begin to accumulate as they do for every player that has been in this league? These are just things to consider.
    • This game is a must-win for both teams I feel. For the Canes, you don’t want to go back to Vegas and put them in front of their home crowd with a chance to close out the series. For Vegas, if you drop this game your only chance is to win 2 straight and similarly have to contend with an energized Canes home crowd if you get to a game 7.
