NGL, I wasn't really moved one way or another about Reich's hire.  Yes, it seemed a bit uninspired, but I could also see the positives.  I liked him a lot more as an OC (I actually wanted to at least interview him after the Philly run) than the results he had as a HC, but the results he had ad a HC also had some very extenuating circumstances involved.  Anyway, I'm choosing to be optimistic.  If he brings in Fangio, that optimism will be a hundred times higher...  I really, really like that hire, bc the issue with any new regime is turnover if you have success.  BUT, I feel like Fangio is at that point and age where he is unlikely to get another HC shot, so he may be like a Monte Kiffin, Jim Johnson, Dick LeBeau at this stage of his career, where he is just permanently entrenched as the DC and you don't have to worry about losing him and having to start over with a new guy and tweaks to he system.

All that being said, for that dream to become a reality, we need the offense to really hit the ground running and stay locked in from there so we can enter into the longest period of sustained, meaningful success we've ever had.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
