One of the things that separated Reich from other candidates was the staff he told Fitterer and David Tepper he would assemble in Charlotte, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Reich could try to retain offensive line coach James Campen and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor after both position groups made big strides after their arrivals.

That's big news Imo!!!!!

I honestly think that move keeps Bozeman in Carolina, if true. The love for Campen amongst offensive lineman is real.

In regards to Tabor, our ST hasn't been this good about 7-8 years.  Since Ginn was back there. The coverage was impressive considering what we were used to around here.

IMO I’d like to see Duce Staley as OC he’s a coach that’s been around the NFL for a time. I think he’d be able to fill that role and be great at it. And he deserves the opportunity.

I’d like to see Kris Richard get a shot at DC or hire an experienced coach like Vic Fangio. Like I said these are just my opinions.

It's not hard to picture Bozeman back in September looking at his wife, asking her (and perhaps somewhat asking himself) "Baby, what the hell did I sign on to?"

Oh, how things change.

Mind you, if he does stick around we will owe at least partial gratitude to Steve Wilks.

Agreed. A coach like Reich seems a perfect situation for him to take the next step. Pairing Joe Brady with another NFL neophyte in Matt Rhule was a mistake.

This. My first thought was, he isn’t experienced enough. But Reich can help him along and even call plays for a while if needed.

Wait – I thought Elflein started the first game under Wilks and then got hurt. Bozeman came in after he got hurt. Is that wrong?

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
