I can speak personally about Damiere, he would come back here if offered. He spends a lot of time here in charlotte. My best friend is really close with Damiere.

Thanks to @thunderraiden @Purrnicious@therealmjl ... I would have never thought to do this, but I just texted my buddy about what sup with Byrd...

"Panthers are talking to him, and he would love to come back here"
"The other team talking to him is GB"

Also, my buddy shared with me something that we did for Damiere that is pretty wild that I had no idea NFL franchises would do for a free agent, but I will say holy poo... our FO is so fuging cool.

bonus note: Byrd is getting married in uptown at the Bohemian in a couple of weeks.

thinking we overpaid for Hurst expecting Schultz and Gesicki to go for more than they did.

Also afraid we did the same with Sanders, other RBs aren't really getting that great of deals right now.

How do you figure? Miles was the best RB on the market also we don’t have a QB. Look the guaranteed money basically the same money we just have a longer deal 1/9 or 3/13

People think we over paid a bit, but every year the cap goes up and the market resets. All these deals will look friendly in 2024 if they play like they are capable of.  NFC south is down. I really think we have a shot at it then make a run in 2024. Most excited I’ve been in years as a Panthers fan. I haven’t hated a single move we have done yet.

Hurst was the only guy in the top 5 that can catch and block well, he'll actually be useful on run downs and QB scrambles

Same for sanders, fewer weakness in each of their games. They are the types that dont come off the field.

Schultz and his agent, got honey dicked.

    • This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
    • I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.
    • Same thing I first thought but then I saw it was against Jacksonville and took about half a second of playing to know. I was at that game.  I can't tell you my level of excitement when I saw it was Delhomme instead of Peete who came out for the 2nd half. Delhomme has and will probably always be my favorite Panther.
