I don’t understand the complaints about this signing not realizing what we have trotted out there last couple of years. Ian Thomas would not even be on most teams roster

Are people really complaining? We've needed a tight end as badly as we needed a LT after Gross retired. A player that demands safety and linebacker attention in the pass game immediately makes receivers jobs much, much easier.

I'm sure DJ Moore is banging his head on the wall right now.

Mahomes just won a SB with a bunch of mediocre WRs. Scheme and good QB can get a lot done.

Mahomes already has an argument for GOAT NFL player frankly. Stroud or Young could turn into an elite franchise QB and still not be all that close to Mahomes' level. But I generally agree with your point that coaching, elite OL, franchise QB can all make a lack of weapons moot. There's a lot of ways to skin a cat. If we don't have many weapons we'll need to have great efficient play calling and QB play limiting turnovers and a great D. Especially in today's NFL where putting up points is so important. I don't expect to contend as soon as this year so we have a couple years to build out our skill position groups too. I'm just thrilled we have a top OL in place and continuity there to keep our rookie comfortable from go.

We officially have a tight end that is actually capable of doing all the tight end things.

Thomas has been a forever work in progress, Tremble is a work in progress.  Dissapointed this isn't Schultz but he offers more flexibility than what Gesicki would bring.

If not Schultz, it was Hurst or Tonyan.  Maybe Moreau.

Always felt meh about him, but he’s a solid all around TE, and that will be great for our rookie QB. Now we can also draft and develop a young TE. TEs usually take a while before they contribute. I’m just waiting to see what the cost is.

LOL what a clown

Never understood the logic of that.

I get that he's afraid of turnovers but a whole lot of touchdowns are scored that way. You're going to sacrifice those potential touchdowns just out of fear that something bad might happen?

Rhule was such a dumbsh-t 🙄

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
