And im telling you the entire conference sucks!

I know our defense is trash so are the other ACC teams. Even the dominant Clemson looked bad this past year. Trevor Lawrence was that guy.

There is a difference...

Where have I said there isn't a difference? I know the ACC sucks. I too wish he had transferred because I think he's gonna get hurt behind UNC's line. But none of that has anything to do with his raw talent. Accuracy, Athleticism, Intelligence, Toughness, Height, Competitiveness. Yes, he's at the wrong school. But he'll be a Top 5 draft pick next year. He'll shine at the combine

Stroud is historically small for a QB from a build standpoint just as much as height, that's the difference.

It's no guarantee that Stroud would stay healthy of course, but there is a significantly raised risk of Young's body being able to hold up for a long career.  The other successful sub 6' QB's were a bit stockier to hold up more, like Wilson and Brees.

Defensive players are just getting bigger, one clean Parsons hit on Young and he could get broken in two.

Historically small from a build standpoint = weighed the same as Russell Wilson at the combine.

I literally said he has the talent.

Im questioning you saying he is the real deal.

Real deal QB would win a trash conference. We were picked by many to win the ACC before the season. We didn't live up to the hype point blank.

Maye should have went to the SEC and show people why he is the best QB in college football. That won't happen in Chapel Hill. Caleb Williams will be the #1 pick.

OK. Whatever you say. Defense has nothing to do with championships. Your definition of real deal and mine are different.

I don't know how anyone can argue that Drake Maye isn't good. Dude is gonna be the ipt pick next year, mostly for the same reason we are arguing Stroud/Young. But that's not the point of this thread. Bryce is this years best QB and should be our pick.

Can you please stop posting trash take after trash take.

UNC was not expected to win the ACC last year. They were predicted to finish 3rd in the Coastal division. Drake led them to 1st in the Coastal because that is what elite QBs do. They raise the talent level of the team. He did that despite the aforementioned atrocious defense he was paired with.

Bryce Young is the best QB in the 2023 draft.

Drake Maye would be selected #1 in the 2023 draft even if Caleb Williams were eligible too.

If we did all of this to trade up and we end up drafting Bryce Young, I may hang myself.

Don't do it! I figured it out. All these guys are themselves 5'10 and under so Young is their hero and spiritual leader. That could explain the supposed Tepper love too.

It's a complex.

I've seen a lot of folks subscribe to that logic, but it's not really valid.

You trade to be able to pick whoever you ultimately want, and in doing so this early they've given themselves plenty of time to decide that.

The notion that they absolutely have to know right now is a fallacy.

If you don't know who you're trading up for, then you don't have "conviction," and Fitterer said that that's a must.

For me, it's as simple as that. You don't trade up hoping or guessing or researching, you move up already knowing.

Houston loves Bryce Young and its not a secret, if Houston wants Bryce and we are good with Stroud you make it seem like we want Young and you kindly ask to send us #2 and #12 over if you want him that much Houston.

Very least #2 and #33

I Don’t get this logic.

so we tell Houston we want Bryce but we will give him to u for extra picks? Bahaha.

We need a QB but we are willing to give away that QB we want to them even tho we are all competing in the same league? 🤣🤣🤣

Texans are not that foolish, to give anything to move 1 spot. We will never give them the QB we want & they know that. So if we tell them give us something for Bryce, they will know we don’t want him & can just wait to pick him.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
