This is the Andy Dalton roll out.. No press conference no family and kids at the podium.. No Media availability and wearing a suit.. Just this..  They aren’t treating him like the Starter..

They are drafting a day 1 starter ppl.. Our FO isn’t crazy..

Even if it's AR (which I don't think it is) I feel like he is getting playing time week 1.  Dalton is the backup and got paid like a backup.

I spoke to an NFL source recently who told me Carolina is far more zeroed in on Tanner McKee than CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson.

So what if he’s a ball boy for the Browns. A source is a source!

please make it twitter official so we can throw the Texans off with this smokescreen!

Interesting and terrifying and long stretches of bad plays and WTF moments..

Not really. He misses receivers a lot of the time because of footwork. He has elite movement in the pocket, scans the field well, and generally makes good decisions. This along with his elite size, speed, and ability to create with his legs is going to be enticing to front offices.

I would bet on some level a lot of the scouts have Young's size, and Stroud's adversity under pressure as worse knocks than footwork leading to inaccuracy. If Richardson played another year he would have definitely improved his accuracy enough to be considered possibly the consensus number one overall.

False, because the Texans aren't going to trade up if we say we want Young. The only way they'd trade up is to block the Colts from getting Young. So we make it look like we would trade to get to 4, where Richardson would be, so the Colts could get Stroud or Young, thus making the Texans feel compelled to trade up with us to get their choice, when in reality we just want Stroud.

So while we may not actually want Richardson, if we are willing to trade down for him, that may compel the Texans to trade up for whomever.

Any trade back rumors with the Colt would have to involve the Cardinals moving to the 4th.

No one would believe Panthers would drop to 4th, and risk any team to jump to 3rd.

One of the most frequent posters here, whom have also promoted this idea of a trade back, have hammered in that the Panthers aren't willing to drop more than to the 2nd (!!?!?!?!?). How all this trade back then magically would happen. 🤷‍♂️

One scenario is see is. Panthers going to Texans and, pretty please. Can you trade with us, please 🙏 😥😢😭

I'm almost starting to think that Richardson is our target and that's why we'd consider trading down a spot or two. We'd still be thrilled with Stroud and Young but we're really tempted to take a shot on Richardson's immense talent... but we're scared of being kicked like SF was with Mac Jones. Signing an Andy Dalton means you're not forced to play him right away.

Next thing we hear is that the pick will be Stetson Bennett.

I know ppl feel in love with the combine performance.. But reality is he is more Raw then Trey lance with way less experience.. He is not ready to start and needs at least a year to sit.. At least..

I think he may be less raw than people are thinking.  I could see a team incorporating an offense similar to the Eagles last year and running a lot of plays with AR helping get his feet wet in year one.

It's Stroud guys. The Bryce Young bit is a smoke screen to see if the Texans will bite to trade up to keep the Colts from coming up. The bit included about Richardson is a smoke screen as well because he would be there at 4. So make the Texans think we are interested in Richardson or Stroud, that we would trade down to 4 for Richardson, so the Texans feel compelled to move up to 1 to get Young, meanwhile we still get Stroud at 2.

Got it? Good.

Unless you are part of the smokescreen.  Mind blown.  (Sorry, this GIF is a bit graphic, but it is applicable, dammit!)

Yes really it is .. Stop watching hype video where they only show you the good plays.. He missed more short easy throw then anybody I’ve ever seen .. If another team play a zone he was lost completely.. If they stopped the run the game was over and look like Darnold in NO last season..

I have no clue what you think you saw but this kid maybe just as raw or even less prepared to play then Malik last year and the “real” Tape says this..

    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
    • I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
