I actually think they have some very valid points.

Time will tell.

They keep slamming our defensive performance last year, which is fair enough, but they're acting as if that's a good basis to project how the defense will do this year, which I don't think holds up.

As of right now, we've heard people "in the know" say we're definitely taking Young, definitely taking Stroud, and definitely taking Richardson.

Meanwhile, I definitely have no fuging clue who we're taking. 😂

We are definitely taking Deez Nuts

what happens if we put CJ Young or Bryce Stroud on our card? do we get both?

My guess is Goodell will say Huston is now on the clock. Then look at the person who handed him the card and say try again. Or, he could say f*ck it and make the pick for us.

Trading back for Hendon Hooker. I’ve got an inside source. My buddy busses tables at the Applebees in Rock Hill. He said Tepper and Reich and Fitterer were in there and they told him it was Hooker. And also Adam Thielen came in too.

I’d figure at the least the defense will be a work in progress with new coaches, plus the new guys and the returning guys will all be at square one. Some new guys may be ahead from playing for Evero before.
If we are scheduled to play our division games later, it probably helps us. Could be in trouble early just from not having played enough.

I really think we are gonna run it near Wilks level on offense to try and help the D and the new QB.

No one "knows" anything, most likely.

I'd wager a hefty sum that the organization hasn't decided on "The Guy" yet.

I doubt anyone outside of the organization truly knows. Hell, some within the organization probably don't know. But everything Fitts said about needing to be completely sold on a guy yada, yada, yada before trading up to #1 because you're essentially betting the house on the guy leads me to believe they likely knew who they were going to go get.

Or at least they made sure that they were going to get that guy if the others didn't change their mind.

I think they knew that at least one of them was worth it, if not more.

    • Interesting topic.  I have had a few NFL friends and one told me that he could not work out or train unless the activities and facilities were approved. AI: In many NFL contracts, certain activities are restricted, and injuries sustained during those activities can lead to the voiding of contract guarantees or even the entire contract. These restrictions often include dangerous activities like skydiving, rock climbing, or even engaging in contact sports like boxing. Additionally, injuries sustained while working out at non-team facilities or during personal recreational activities may be classified as "non-football injuries," potentially impacting the player's compensation.    Having said that, I question the reason the person filming this was not helping.  Secondly, the decision to put it on social media makes it seem a bit prearranged.  I do not think this would violate his contract, but I do think it is a bit stupid on his part in that he could be injured.
    • Doesn't make it right.  And as you put it, you wanted to ban him from being country, which is essentially policing who he is as a person lol  I get protecting the "asset", but banning people from living their life is crazy. Russell Wilson likes to play helicopter pilot.  I would deem that WAY more dangerous.  Those things scare me.  I still wouldn't want to keep him from doing it if I were his boss.  I would just try not to think about it, haha.
    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
