I think we are at the verge of a draft that may have the bulk of the next generation of great QBs. There are five guys with tons of potential and serious first round possibilities. And maybe even  couple more good ones down in the 3rd and 4th rounds that could make some noise if they see the field.

I think that if a team misses out on getting a QB this year, they'll regret it down the road.

Not all of them can be winners, can they? Or maybe they can...

If we are selling ourselves on Young I'd rather focus on him being 1of1 based on his height/weight rather than continually trying to shoehorn comparisons to Brees and Wilson.

This doesn’t merit its own thread but I noticed this morning if you look at Young’s NFL draft prospect page on mobile, it says he was drafted by us. However it doesn’t show if you look at it from desktop. Obviously most likely means nothing but just thought it was interesting 

 

EDIT: correction, it shows on desktop as well

It’s a lazy comp in my opinion. It’s made because he was a great QB who wasn’t tall. 
 

The guy I would actually comp to Brees…is Stroud, who has silly Brees like ball placement and touch.

Yes and no.

Young loves to dump the ball off on swing passes and screens, just like Brees.

Yeah but…I find it hard to believe that’s the reason for Brees comp. Good observation on your part, but I’d be shocked if the majority made this comp for that reason.

      Thin sliced roast beef, provolone, and roasted bell peppers on a toasted sub roll.  At least one thing is going right today. I don't trust anyone who's never put Bugles on their fingertips to make witch fingers.

      But yeh,  Bryce is the only problem on this sorry excuse of a team. You could put Tom Brady on this team and we would still suck . Worst part is Tepper and his various band of clowns have been trying to build a competitive team for 7 freaking years and are no closer now than when it all started.

      Regardless of the trade and where he was picked, Bryce actively created deception. He wore a hoodie to the combine and was 15 lbs heavier because he packed on water weight because he didnt weigh near 200 lbs. He didn't participate in drills in a wide open 4 way, really 3, QB bid. Then there was all this hype over the S2 test that he had been practicing that we've never heard about in the draft process since. Does anyone think it was an accident Stroud's score on the S2 was released? Stroud said forget the score, watch his tape. Wonder why. There was a whole bunch of shady poo going on surrounding Bryce pre draft, and I for one, find it all a little too convenient.  Just my opinion, but he was a used car salesman that used some armor all and a wash n wax and maybe a set of white walls then schmoozed his way at dinner with Dave and Nicole and sold them that he was a super savant.  There was a whole lot of BS swirling around the BY hype train and he was a full fledged participant. Frank didn't want Bryce, he wanted Stroud. A new head coach does not pick a QB he has to go design a brand new offense around unless that guy is a generationaltalent, which Bryce was most definitely not. He picks the guy that best fits what he does and that was Stroud. This was Dave and Nicole's pick and they fuged this team like they've done over and over again since they've been here. They fell for use car salesman Rhule, then used car salesman Bryce and company. And the fans got stuck with the 4 years of payments on a car less reliable than Al Bundy's Dodge.
