Panthers Make History Tomorrow

Not because they take an undersized player.

Not the award for taking the largest party/batallion to pro days.

The networks will likely discuss the Panthers more tomorrow than in future drafts combined but most importantly won't go to commercial or Mel Kiper's hairstyling techniques during our pick and return from commercial with a 4 second clip and immediately shift to who the Coboys will select 14 players later.

It will be a nice change of pace.

Don't hold your breath.  They will slurp Aaron Rodgers balls at every opportunity they get. I would be surprised if we got more than about 1 minute of coverage.  That includes time before and after the pick is announced.  It will go immediately to who Huston will select. Everyone has figured out who Carolina is taking. Unless they take the entire 10 minutes that's the most we will get unfortunately.

So what you are saying we won't get the full pick scenario and just like when we get screwed making a pick in past drafts with a commercial break.

I would say there's a pretty good chance of that. So far the coverage on nfl network has been sporadic at best.  If it follows the normal pattern it will not be what the fans will expect. There are too many other storylines to follow to waste time on something everyone already knows will happen.

Which Network will be the best to watch the 2023 NFL Draft on in your opinion ?

Probably. We still get the satisfaction of shoving winning down their throats for the next 10 years.

I'm sure Mel will have his " stone cold can't miss pick" ...

"Deese Hackenlooper special teams ace out of Quzzelboro Tech will go 165th overall "

As the hair product drips on his hair from the studio lights.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
