Have only read the title and I say..

FOH

Edit: Just read it.. and this criteria can FOH still.

The loyal ones ride but obsessive isn’t the right word.

We have one of the weaker fanbases for sure. We had the #1 pick in the draft and I only saw 9 Panther fans in the crowd.

BOA is 60/40 on a good day. Charlotte is flooded with fans of other teams.

I keep saying this, but the crowd support would be much higher if the team was moved to Raleigh. Just something about Charlotte the crowd is just not loud enough. The Hornets games are the same way smh.

raleigh is like 2 hours away from charlotte. any fanbase worth it's salt would travel 2 hours to see games. look at any other die hard fan base of any sport. all those people are traveling an hour or two to come to games plus the locals.

new team X bad ownership X bad product X small market X transplant city full of other fans = poor attendance.

Disagree. Raleigh isn’t used to teams that are god awful, perennial losers. That’s the difference.

If you have ever been to a Panthers or Hornets playoff game back in the day, you’d know full well what Charlotte is capable of.

But when you average 5/6 wins over half a decade, or worse, you’ll see the lull. Not to mention never having back to back winning seasons. I’m almost 30 years. That’s insane. Zero momentum. Anyone who got interest lost it.

It’s simple really, this franchise needs real success. You want people to spend $250+ to sit in the hot sun and get loud in a stadium they paid for, more than 7 winning seasons sprinkled in 27 years might help.

Exactly! The 2015 NFC Championship game against Arizona was one of the loudest crowds in Charlotte History. We have not had any sustained success with any of our pro teams in N.C. (Hurricanes are getting there) That’s what it takes to build a solid fan base. As much as half the fan base talks half the time about wanting to “tank” it does not endear me to drop 3 or 4 hundred dollars and drive 150 miles to see a football team. Do not underestimate how many PSL owners are from areas 50 to 125 miles from the stadium.

That was in the 90's bro. Those people are old now.

It has nothing to do with winning or losing. Even when we had that historical run in 2016 the stadium was still 60/40. It's the location.

Raleigh has always had a strong fan base. We support our teams college and NHL. I promise you if the Panthers or Hornets were in Raleigh you would see a totally different fan reaction at the games. They hardcore and loud. Charlotte fans are laid back.

No disrespect to the city of Charlotte, but the fans are just not into their teams as we are. Come to a Canes or Pack game and tell me you don't notice the difference.

That was a single game. I remember that season and our crowd was still 60/40.

You are delusional if you don't think we have one of the weaker fanbases in the league. Im going to a Seahawks game later this year just to experience what it feels like to have a true rowdy crowd. I hear that place is a hell of an atmosphere.

Referencing a college team is just getting into a different animal entirely.  You could then argue to move them to Columbia, SC because even if the Gamecocks lost every game the fans in Columbia would still show up and be fired up at kickoff like they are competing for a Natty…..

college football in the south is just nuts.  No NFL expansion team fanbase can compete with that no matter the city

Nobody is traveling 2 1/2 hours on a Sunday to see a football game. When most people have to work the next morning.lol

That is a Charlotte crowd my man at least the majority is.

Come to a Canes game. Tell me how different the roar is from the crowd compared to a Panthers game. We like that!

    • Kupp didn't win them a SB, the Stafford trade did. No WR is carring a SB. Kupp just showd his QB wasn't it so they went and got it. Hill is proving Tua ain't it either but it looks like Miami will pay him anyways. I said it's all about the QB and then the rest. The WRs just help those QBs and should help the team evaluate their QBs. Purdy just failed big time and that is a stacked roster. If the Viks new QB can't be it with Jefferson then he doesn't stand a chance without him. It's not about the WR carrying the team to a SB but the WR setting the young QB up for success and making it easy to eevaluateif they are it because that is the most important part of building a modern SB champ. They overspent but it was a luxury they could afford. If you think bringing in a rookie QB and letting your best WR go in the process then you didn't learn anything from the Moore debacle. If Young had a legit WR last year then half the BS about not knowing would be gone this year. I would rather pay to know then just hope. In a perfect world the organization could draft well enough to set up a Cheifs Mahhomes rookie cast or the 49ers but those are really the exceptions and not the rule, the dream I guess.
