I mean its not like Bryce is a bad athlete or something....yeah hes not Anthony Richardson or Lamar Jackson, but hes not Matt Ryan or Philip Rivers either (athletically speaking, if hes as good a QB as those guys were set).

Is there even a correlation between size and concussion risk?  On the surface it doesn't seem to make sense that being bigger protects your brain from jostling around inside your skull.  The only thing that I could maybe rationalize is that a smaller player might be more likely to be "rag-dolled" and slammed into the ground harder by a bigger opponent.  But largely speaking, I would have a tough time buying into a player's size being a concussion risk factor.  Cam, Luke, and Michael Oher were all giants (or at least of healthy size) at their respective positions and all experienced multiple serious concussions.  It is known that once you suffer your first concussion, you're at a higher risk for future concussions, but other than that it seems like they're entirely random and unpredictable.

Super impressive by Young. And I'm very encouraged that the coaching staff was able to recognize the maturity and awareness the play required. If guys starting in the NFL have never made that call, and he did it as a college freshman in garbage time, it tells you a lot about Young's approach to the game. Every play matters, every call matters, every opportunity matters. And he wants to get it right.

I am excited about watching our new franchise QB Bryce Young, a player that proves a lot of winning football games starts above the shoulders and not just  the arms and legs.

This is one of those minor yet really important things.  Seems simple enough but we haven't had a Center-QB combo that could effectively communicate and call out protections and make solid presnap judgements since 2018.

You saw the boost when Bozeman replaced Elflein, and he helped our lackluster QBs make some good calls.  But now having both a QB and Center capable of effectively making presnap reads is huge.  Bozeman & Young being here and developing a report is awesome.  

Haven't had that since Cam-Kalil.  It was one of Cam's more underrated traits IMO.

Just the opposite, it becomes very real.

Obviously we all hope it doesn't manifest into anything, but it's not going away.

I think that it will go away if he stays mostly healthy this first season.

really he's just a miserable person in here.

I mean it took him months to realize Harrison Jr wasn’t draft eligible after 20 plus people told him. So that’s what we are dealing with here…

      He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.

      This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.

      I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
