A YouTube channel with 542 subscribers is praising one of our free agent pick ups. Okay. I guess that's good, but it's not like the hot story on ESPN's flagship show.

Got to start somewhere I guess.

I understand your take on this ..

I guess I am ok not being the hot take on ESPN ..  who will , ad nauseum, promote teams and players from the north east..  Can you imagine how many stories they will post on  Aaron Rogers and the Super Bowl favorites the N Y Jets ??

ad nauseum  -  referring to something that has been done or repeated that it has becoming annoying or tiresome.

So is he going to be our starting 3-4 nose tackle? Isn’t he a bit small for it? That’s my main concern going into the season, it doesn’t seem like we have the right pieces for a 3-4 DL.

He is going to be switching with DB in that nose role.  His tape suggests his size wont be an issue as he's been very solid against the run in his career.  They probably feel it wont be a problem even though his role will be slightly different here with more two gapping.

Saintsreport was sad to see him go, but happy to see we overpaid for him in their view.

He was a rotational player there...not the expectation here.  In the thread I made about the 5 best offseason moves..he was listed as #5

5. Signing DL Shy Tuttle This isn't a "sexy" move by any means but it's one that will do wonders for someone like Derrick Brown. It's going to free up Derrick to make more plays in the passing game as he won't have to deal with as many double-teams. Tuttle has never been a stat machine but his value is far more important than numbers on a piece of paper.

    • But that would run counter to a lot of basic logic.  Frank Reich largely had an ideal QB he had worked with…and Reich world people were beating that drum loudly during the draft process that CJ Stroud fit what Frank would want/need.  And reporting also was signaling there was a split in house and Tepper wanted Young. We ended up with Young.
    • There's more to coaching than play calling, even down on the field. Madden isn't going to simulate how your WR1 had a big fight with his wife the night before the game and is stiff from sleeping on the couch. It's not going to simulate that the fight was because the QB's wife was flirting with the WR and now, because she went full on ballistic that the QB now knows about it. It's not going to simulate that questionable bucket of wings your o-line shared three hours before the game is now causing cramps and gas. It's also not going to simulate the real wear and tear of the season and how about December even the moderately good teams are about halfway spending their brain power on picking their January vacation destinations. But for a video game, it's pretty good.
    • Last Madden I played was 17, got this for like 10-12 bucks a few months ago and its a great improvement imo. I havent had to touch the sliders much.
