Deonte is a huge SOB also. He was "playing" D-line in a drill with Moton and Mays and dwarfed them.

What a terrible pick that was with a stud G sitting there for the taking. All the G talk with Corbett out and BC rated as our weak spot and Deonte is never mentioned even though he’s in year 3. I know it was a 6th, but Smith, Mays and Norwell types are around. Maybe they were considered more hard working than pure talent or maybe they had the talent but slipped due to non-football reasons, they are still the chances you want to take not projects that need a huge amount of work to be able to play at a high level. Glad we learned with Mays. Hopefully, we keep sticking to that formula for day 3 picks because we are a long way from being a deep team.

Thanks for responding.  But you know, this site is not free.  Ads are an online  fact of life these days. Beats me having to pay for it.

Ads and the bullshit screen covering banners that can’t be closed and block posts with no way to resolve the problem except refresh and hope it doesn’t happen again are two different things. I’m perfectly ok with scrolling past conventional ads but the ones here cripple the ability to read people’s posts sometimes.

I have ad blocker on my phone. Never had an issue since then.

The ads have gotten absolutely ridiculous. It's almost like one of those trap websites Facebook tries to get you to click on with endless pop up ads and crap that sends you down a never ending rabbit hole.

Get an ad blocker app. I have not seen any ads since the egg shell penis ads were popular.  Most ad blocker apps are free.

90% of the post here are for  fodder ..   but there are some Panther ( gold ) nuggets here as well. I live on the coast and for me to find any Panther information is pretty much impossible. My local  TV won't cover them on a daily or weekly bases. I don't want to pay to listen to someone's pod cast to hear his/her opinion when their opinion is no better than mine. This is free and it's going to have ads.  As others have mentioned, there are pop up blockers.

If someone doesn't like this site for what ever reason..  stop visiting it.  If you don't , then you too have discovered this free site with pop ups is better than what ever else you use to find Panthers news or discuss Panther news .  Enjoy Free

Evidently I don't see them to the extent some of you do and I do not use a pop up blocker. I get no pop ups,   just a 1/4 of the screen on the right side has ads,  and  something at the bottom.  ( then again, I might be one of ZOD's  chosen ones LOLOL )

Be careful. I got my entire old account banned and posts deleted for saying how bad the ads were before. Don’t care about ads, just the ones that make the site hard to use.

    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
