TMJ rated best WR

Gotta love when the minimum is what the leader had. On one route, Hill had 54 targets. Elijah Moore was the best WR at comeback routes. He had an overall grade of 57.5, which sucks and he likely isn’t making the Jets roster.

We really are trying to hype up TMJ in here but a guy who’s touted here as the best deep ball guy in the NFL only has 1 TD and it was against garbage time backups when we were already losing by 35? I hope he’s as great as people think in here but I’m waiting until he’s not playing against CJ and Taylor.

I still hope Mingo balls out because I’m hoping for better than TMJ’s finish. I see all this TMJ was rolling under Wilks, but in the last 6 games he had 0 TDs and had 1-8, 1-18, 3-51, 2-55, 2-15 and 2-23 as our starting WR2.

I think CJ Saunders, Josh Vann and Marquez Stevenson are damn near already on PS.

Wright might beat them all out for top PS guy and if he could return a punt, would push Byrd and Smith for a roster spot. Other than that omission (IMO), you're spot on.

I wonder if we keep 7 this year.

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

Lol, maybe so, but a guy who was going to be the 6th WR on a team is not someone who’s a given to make a roster. Just because the Browns were willing to take a chance trading down doesn’t mean the Jets had any plans for him. I mean the Browns personnel decisions are golden, have been for years.

IMO, if everyone plays up to their potential, or even better. This team can be scary.

I agree, but potential is the key word here.

We have a new HC, a new OC, a new WR coach, a new passing game coordinator 3 new QB's, and 3 new WR's. Our 3 returning receivers; TMJ, Shenault and (maybe) Shi, had a whopping 28 receptions 490 yards 1 TD, 27 receptions 272 yards 1 TD, and 22 receptions 296 yards 2 TD's, respectively. Hard to imagine how it all will come together with having barely seen anyone play.

Glad he showed up in a category but I'm not going to read too much into this.  He flashed in his second year and I believe we finally have a coaching staff that can develop players (really hard to know exactly how much Rhule hurt or helped different positions). Watching games, though, it felt like our receivers often struggled to get separation when it mattered.  That could be scheme etc... Time will tell.

If you keep repeating the same things, then they must be true. Just keep repeating “6th best receiver on the jets bro” while the people who actually know the league outside of the panthers snicker at your flailing attempts to try to sound knowledgeable. Take a guess at which team not only has the longest current drought for a playoff appearance in the NFL, but also the longest current playoff drought in North American professional sports. Hint: it’s not the browns

IMO, the importance of having a star/#1 is overrated.  Most of the SB winners from the last ten years or so didn't have a star/#1.  Would rather have a group of 3-4 good receivers.

You don't "need" a number one if your QB is Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, etc.

Otherwise, it helps a lot.

Kaye seems to think Shi Smith is not standing out

WR Shi Smith
The Panthers went out of their way to stack the depth chart with receivers who could play in the slot this offseason. With Adam Thielen, DJ Chark, Johnathan Mingo and Damiere Byrd joining the position group, Smith was already facing an uphill battle to earn a job on the 53-man roster.
Holdover receivers Terrace Marshall, Laviska Shenault and Derek Wright out-shined Smith during the offseason program. And while Smith provided the occasional impressive play in front of the media, he didn’t really take to the offense like his peers did during the five weeks of workouts.
Smith’s special teams upside also took a major hit with the new kickoff rule. While he can return punts, Byrd and Blackshear can also thrive in that role. Smith needs to put together a phenomenal camp in Spartanburg to stay in a Panthers uniform.

Ok buddy. I wasn’t aware that the Jets traded him but my point stands that obviously the Jets had no room for him with Wilson and all their additions like Lazard.

All their additions like Lazard? They only added Lazard and Hardman, they traded Moore to gain assets to trade for Rodgers. All your points are easily refutable and just based off opinion, and bad opinions at that. Watch some football or read something man you argue like a below average middle school child.

We really don't need a #1.  The media really wants DJ Moore to be a bigger win for Chicago than he is.

Right, I think we will be able to replace his 1000 yards and 4 TDs every year with the new guys on the roster

TMJ was lined up 1-on-1 with Cam Taylor-Britt who was and is the starter in Cinci. To say that the play came against a back-up player of Taylor/Henderson's caliber is misleading. As is pointing to his statline when the gameplan was "Don't make Sam throw the ball" under Wilks.

By all means, feel free to doubt as this isn't an attempt to change your mind. I just wanted to make sure that misinformation didn't go unchecked.  🙂

SMH, you called me buddy first. I mean, OK buddy, seems like something that shouldn’t make you mad. Personally, don’t really care about Moore. Jets moved on and have their 5 WRs since they also added Cobb as well for Rodgers. Moore requested a trade last year so he wasn’t exactly a key guy for them like DJ was for us. Browns can see if they can get more out of Moore. I can still say it’s silly that Moore can be labeled best in the NFL at a route he ran 4 times the entire season, especially when the same source (PFF) had a very poor grade on him for the season.

Oh well, have a great day bud!
