What would restructuring do though? You still have to get guys back up into game shape.

Yeah, the CBA already has tons of protections built in. I'm not sure what that coach wants. I mean, these guys hurt themselves running around in shorts. Freak things happen.

i think they are probably referring to truncating team activites all into this month instead of having the players work out from May forward.  However, I am not sure.

Ya, I don’t know. I don’t imagine most football players just stop working out during the offseason. In fact they may be working out too much.

yea i get it. I just think about basketball & futbol players... they pretty much work out all year except March. Obvisouly, football is different on the body but doing "burst" training like training camp can be a lot on the body.

I think most of them work out, I just don’t know what the work outs are. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of injuries in camp compared to the rest of the off-season. They need to re-think things next CBA. Players perspective has always been pushing for more pay with less mandatory training camps, practices, full pads/full contact days, etc. but I think they may not have found the right balance currently.

I’m also sick of talking about guys still trying to find their rhythm, offensive lines gelling, fully opening the playbook, etc. weeks into the regular season.

What the hell would that do? lol You can't restructure the offseason to avoid fluke injuries. It's football, flukes injuries are going to happen NO MATTER WHAT they do. That had to be someone like Josh McDaniels that texted that lol

They should just do nothing until the first week of the regular season.  Then they can start practicing.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
