Only reason I was against retaining Wilks was because I thought we were getting somebody like a Steichen. When it was announced that Reich was the coach I immediately missed Wilks.

We probably wouldn’t have traded up, and he’ll may have even still had Darnold at QB but we would be running the ball down people’s throats the entire game and not this soft ass spread offense.

I wanted Steichen so badly. He failed his Zoom interview (whatever that possibly means).

thanks Tepper

I truly think they already and Frank as their guy and just said that bs to make it seem like a legit did not want type of deal. Did this happen? No clue, but this front office is so incompetent I wouldn’t put it past them. I remember after the Frank interview, there were rumors how well he interviewed, then someone found out the team hired his daughter for some job. (Not saying his daughter wasn’t deserving) After that, I had a feeling they had their guy.

I was skeptical when we hired him, and said so. It all came down to his uninspired play calling. All you had to do was read what Indy fans had said.

He's a nice guy, and he's also very knowledgeable about the game, but his situational play calling leaves something to be desired. I hope that these are just growing pains.

I was laughed off this board when the hire was made for not being excited for a cast off coach who was recently fired after depending on Matt Ryan and Carson Wents to save his job, and was told it's "The greatest coaching staff of all time" , and "Jim Irsay is an idiot for firing him" , and was also pooed on for not trusting Reich to evaluate weather Bryce was a good QB or not

Well I am not laughing, because I truly didn't want to be right, now we probably don't have any hope to get better untill we get a new coach and get some draft picks back

The Rhule Era was a clown show, The Reich era will be a Funeral

With that said, we have made our bed, just leave Bryce in to either drown or swim , too bad he doesn't have a coach who won a superbowl with a short QB

    • Bill Polian and Bill Lekas on Chalk Talks SiriusXM radio this morning.  Polian needs to retire (again). First he talks about Andy Dalton as our backup and then suggests trading down to get Sadiq. Clueless. At least he brought up the hole losing Ashawn Robinson caused.
    • And you know this how? Stay in your lane, junior. I'm pretty sure I'm a lot older than you, am a whole lot more experienced with life, and have watched football in earnest probably longer than you've been alive. I agree, but I was talking directly about injuries. As far as the economics, I'm assuming that Moton would have to take a pay cut and would probably be compelled to if he wants to stay in Charlotte. He seems like a thoughtful and practical guy. He knows that he's getting older and realizes the nature of the business. Hell, last time there were were questions on whether he would be here the last season. Dan and Brandt were dialing up the pressure. I don't think they're going to go into any type of contractual extension discussions without having a backup plan--i.e., a person that will appear to be Moton's replacement. And, to be honest, that person may be Moton's replacement depending how things go. But, I get the impression that Moton wants to be in Charlotte (unless he's developed some undying desire to chase a championship somewhere else).
    • It would be pretty fun with something like this. 3 on 3 the first 5 minutes, 2 on 2 the next 5 minutes (after a stoppage), then 1 on 1 (after a stoppage) the rest of the way. I just feel like this would be equal parts entertaining and chaos to watch
