then you go and see what the Falcons are having to do to get people in

 

is it the cost of attending a game, is it the lackluster team or a mix of both

I mean, you're trying to entice fans to come see you with the lure of Adam Thielen? A guy his former team let walk because he's aging and lost a step? That says everything.

so embarrassing. this screams desperation. Tepper bit off more than he can chew and he knows it, this ain't hedge funding, he may be a billionaire in that game but he's run this thing into the fugging ground.

Those are just automated marketing campaigns. Prolly just fed into their CRM and it does the rest. 
 

Id be shocked if every team doesn’t do this. Every consumer facing business does….

 

I get a few of these emails for the hurricanes, Orlando magic and Denver nuggets almost weekly

They do this all the time.  A guy called me a couple years ago trying to get me to buy PSLs.  When I said no, he tried to sell me single game tickets.  I said no again.  He asked me what it would take to get me to a game - I said a winning season.  He snickered and ended the call.

I mean it’s because they suck but it’s also because of how boring they are while sucking. If they were losing shootouts people would show up, but watching a pro football team pass for 60 yards a half is like watching 1930s ball

Hate the falcons. 

 

Never had a bad experience at the butthole dome outside of losses and I've been 3 times now. They try hard to get the crowd into it and concessions are cheaper than a lot of places. 

Their local fans could do better.

There’s a thread on Reddit about how predatory Charlotte FC is with PSLs. And I didn’t know that the guy who invented PSLs regrets it now.

I'd venture to say cost is playing a role too. People are having trouble paying their bills. Not as much free cash floating around in pockets to go watch a terrible team.

FWIW, we went to a Sporting KC game a few months back, our first ever, and the follow-up calls and sales attempts were relentless. It was truly obnoxious.

Buy a fishing license in Tennessee. The spam you get from them is out of control. I would've used a burner email had I realized it.
