Let me be clear I’d trade Bryce for a ham sandwich right now but I want this organization to figure it out and find out if they’re spending pick 33 on a QB in next years draft or not

We can’t do that, if/when Bryce is terrible in 2024, we can start to consider taking a new QB in the first, but there won’t be any QB good enough on the 2nd round to make it worth our while to do that in the next draft.

Start building up the franchise right and add solid young players with picks like that.

So…. When the defense just decided to play soft zones, he was able to complete easy passes.

Exactly what I’m looking for from the #1 pick of the draft

Same as that drive against NO where they went soft as well with a 2 TD lead late. I’m not going to say it wasn’t nice to see completions and scores but we were down 4 scores in the 4th quarter and it was clear Detroit was sitting back.

Look I’m trying here. He’s shown practically nothing for 15 quarters. I never thought he’d throw for 3 touchdowns garbage time or not

Do I think it’ll be ugly next week against Miami until it’s a blowout? Yes

I get it. But the more I watch him, the more I am second guessing the pick. Doesn’t help watching CJ putting on a clinic week after week. I’m fearful that every thing we’ve done has set us back half a decade (at least) from being competitive again.

It's all the point Detroit had all but won the game in the 2nd quarter. Of course they are going to give up plays when they basically go prevent. When the game mattered and was in the balance is when he had the 2 picks which essentially sealed the game for them

Ehhh football is a cause and effect sport. If Miles doesn’t fumble then maybe we go down and tie the game and everything is different. Was clearly pressing on that 2nd pick after the turnover.

I see a lot of Clausen comparisons from posters yet I've never seen Clausen have that type of game against ANY defense prevent or not. So which is it? Is he a Clausen clone or a garbage time stat padder? He can't be both.

Today was a rough day for most of it. Those interceptions sucked. They were pretty terrible decisions no ifs ands or buts about it. I expect to see some of those kind of plays time to time from our rookie QB.

But to the people complaining about garbage time stats you wouldn't waste anytime flaming Bryce if he threw more INTs and had multiple 3 and outs during "garbage time" in today's game so your opinions are exactly that, garbage. I give credit to Bryce for continuing to battle through adversity even when the game isn't close. Hopefully this will give him something to build off of in future weeks.

The guy was hyped for being a cerebral mental savant and he’s made a ton of really dumb mistakes, even for a rookie.

We drafted him #1 overall and mortgaged our future in the process. Blame the coaching and talent all you want, but the criticism against Bryce is 100% valid.

You going to do this for how long? Plenty of room on that Texans bandwagon trust me.

My guy I'm going nowhere I'm just speaking my mind. It was a layup pick. This will be talked about for years these two guys careers will always be connected as long as they are both in the league. I still don't get why you jumped ship but you do you.

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
