Tee Higgins + a WR in the 2nd.

Yes on Higgins, no on another in the 2nd

If we get Higgins, with Thielen and Mingo already on board, we have too many holes to fill with long term solutions, particularly on defense, and that's where the 2nd rounder needs to be spent.

There's always decent cheap WR options out there in FA, particularly when we'd really only be looking for our #4.

Someone like Mecole Hardman this last offseason signing for $4 million would be exactly what we'd need, especially if the Top 3 was Higgins, Thielen, Mingo, as we could then very much use a shiftier speed WR to compliment them.  Those are also the type of WRs you can try to find a hidden gem in the 3-5 rounds of the draft.

I may be biased as an Arizona alum, but Jacob Cowing would be someone I'd love to land in say the 4th round, he'd be a great fit for Bryce.

I have no idea why ISM isn’t given a look at this point

Mingo cannot be trusted to be where he needs to be. That is extremely difficult for a rookie QB. Hell, even the PI call Mingo got against the Texans on that final drive the route was trash. He got bailed out by the penalty. Had he not been held he wasn’t getting back to the spot where Bryce put the ball

I'm not as convinced we need a first round pick to find a good ball catcher.  Here are the top 25 receivers (TE's included) by yardage this year, and the round they were drafted in:

Yes, there are 11 first rounders in there, but if you look at highly successful NFL players at ANY position, you'll see something like that.  First round picks generally succeed at a higher rate than other rounds.

What is incontrovertibly true is that we must draft better in the first four rounds.  At all positions.  Our first four rounds need to be wins, every year.
