Does Bryce throw for more than 50% completion rating and greater than 150 yards a game in this scenario? If so, sign me up.

He has been over both the completion percentage you mentioned every single game, and more than 150 in every game except Atlanta in week 1 where he was 4 yards short. Might wanna push the goalposts further out.

Yet still some people defend Fitterer. The man is a desperate fool who has been making deals since he got here to absolutely no avail and to the detriment of the roster.

And the thing is even if he could get either of those teams interested in making that trade the player still has to want to play here. Nobody wants to be a part of this shitshow thanks to the decisions of Scott and David Tepper.

I get most of you don’t want a 30+ year old receiver but Higgins is 24 and would have greatly helped this offense for the right price. I have no issue with Fitt trying to make that trade if it was a justifiable value. We were only like 3 games out from division lead at the time before the trade deadline and no one can argue we don’t need help at WR when everyone on here is constantly bitching about our guys not getting separation.

    • I just don't think some guys have it. Darnold has the panic gene. I don't think there's any fixing it. He looks really good as long as the play develops as drawn up or if he gets pressured immediately and has to go to his check down right away. It's when he has decent protection and his first read isn't open and he's standing back there in the pocket with that panic slowly building. That's when he does disastrous poo.
    • based on the QBs drafted #1 comparison thread, he’s right where he should be. if your expectations were to have a rookie lead us to the playoffs without an OL and WR corps, maybe your expectations were a bit off.
    • at some point, though, you just have to suck it up and accept it and deal with the bad deal you got.  you go through funks where you keep making mistakes and hope that you get it figured out sometime soon, but in the learning process you realize you could have done some things better but you're stuck with decisions you make. you have two choices...whine about it or just brush it off and hope can make the situation you put yourself work. i know a lot of people in here have probably never experienced or dealt with failure much in their lives, but i have and i learned to just suck it up and try to make the best of the situation you've got yourself in because you realize that you're stuck with it for a while. doesn't do any good to keep harping over what you wish you had done better. you already know that. now it's just about moving forward from here and making the best of it and hoping you can make something of it. it's the easiest thing in the world to look at where Bryce falls short...and yes, that was intentional. everyone knows that and all that is done is beating that horse laying on the ground. what takes some work is trying to see how it can work and if they have done and are doing things to help the situation get better.
