he literally just said it but I am sure some posters are going to have their head in the sand

Cope gonna cope.

Moving beyond the pick it's crystal clear Tepper has not changed one iota. If anything this has made him dig in even deeper. He is not giving up any level of control of this franchise. We are going to see things done his way even if it ends in turmoil yet again.

Master class in holding a press conference but not actually providing any substantive responses. Had a lackey designating who from the press corps could ask questions, provided vague non-answers and time at the mic limited to 15 minutes, no follow-up questions allowed. Pretty sure Fowler wasn't called upon to ask a question, no shocker there.

Can't watch but did he really just admit that Reich wanted Stroud and he didn't? fug...

No.

He said he allowed them scouts and coaching staff to make a decision on who to draft and that he supported both of their decisions and that is was unanimous btwn the coaches and scouts.

He went onto say that if he wanted to he could have vetoed the decision but that he did not.

He also took responsibility for the franchises failures since he bought the team.

    • Obviously the new FO has only been in charge for a couple years but they have not broken from past trends.
    • Rookie Bryce: Mingo, Thielen, DJ Chark as his WRs ...we won 2 games.  2nd Year Bryce: XL is drafted and becomes Bryce's #1 target in 24...we won 5 games (kinda suprising tho) 3rd Year Bryce: Tmac is drafted and becomes Bryce's #1 with Coker in the mix in '25.. we managed to win the division and make the playoffs. ..8 wins 4th Year Bryce: TBD ..... but we do need another reliable option at the position. Maybe not at 19 (unless its Cooper or Lemon) but somewhere within the top 100.   We are one injury away from reverting back to 23-24 status or worse. And if we dont happen to get substantial gains after this draft atleast we'll have the offense in a great spot to drop in our future QB.  Tmac, Coker, Leggette, Horn Jr, Metchie. I'd be willing to rock with the above but they could def stand an upgrade. An argument could be made at TE too.
    • You're also underestimating Calipari in those scenarios. Calipari can say to a kid "I've put more impactful players into the NBA than any school over the last 20 years".  Michael Malone can tout that he was run out of the NBA for not understanding impactful players.  I wouldn't count any chickens yet on top recruiting classes and deep tournament runs.  On a side note, can't remember where, but saw some interview where the guy was saying the NBA All Star Game should be the USA vs World vs Kentucky - and then proceeded to list the players in the league from Kentucky who would legit give an All Star team a run for their money.  Pretty impressive what Cal did at Kentucky, not impressive on him not getting more nattys.
